Hello,

If the update mechanism within the products themselves is failing (Help > Update) a workaround is to download and install the update manually outside of the app.

Updates for the individual CS5 products can be downloaded from the below link. Just find the product and operating system section for which ever one is failing and download the update manually and install it with the affected program closed.

I'm also having the same problem, I called customer support phone number 18008336687

and told them I had already posted to the forum they directed me to concierge and then they directed me here again. Bottom line...Adobe doesn't care about customers with older products.

I have the same problem. I have tried to download the update files separatelly. I could install step by step but the newest updates can not be installed using adobe update. There is no costumer desk to help???

In my case it is a completely fresh installation on a blank system, no updates possible. I don't know what I can do... :-(

Having the same problem.

deactivated and uninstalled CS 5

Ran CS5 cleaner

Ran CCcleaner for Adobe.

Reinstalled CS5

Still having the exact same problem

I'm having the same issue and I contacted Adobe. Unfortunately, they just redirected me here.

I own a CS5 master collection. It is a fresh install with all previously installation uninstalled.

Reboot numerous times.

Now adobe keeps prompting me to download and install updates. when i followed through with all the downloads, i kept getting

"some updates failed to install."

"The following updates were unable to install. If you wish to install these updates, please fix the problems below and retry:"

"Photoship camera raw 6.7 update. There was an error downloading this update. please quit and try again later."

"contact customer support for further assistance"

Can someone please help?? I am not good with computers and this install was supposed to be for my daughter to use in her school project.
