Reflow not HTML ready

After adding some new script via Dreamweaver to an HTML page in the Assets folder and then reopening in Reflow, the added html disappeared.
Three attempts were made and each time the code just went away. I could preview the changes in a browser made in DW to see the changes were there, but Reflow does not allow the code to stay.
Also, why can I not add content to an html page generated by Reflow in another app, save as another file name, and open that html file in Reflow, or open any html file in Reflow as a new project?
