On my Mac OSX 10.8 system, the local server root is located at /Library/WebServer/Documents

The brackets setup says the following,

Make sure your local server is already running, serving files from the same folder Brackets is editing.

I think my problem is I do not know how to ensure the local server is serving files from the same folder as the project?

I have tried this but Chrome always says the location does not exist on the server. Where does the localhost on osx usually point to?

You need to coordinate the "project" opened in Edge Code with the location of your files on your local server. Take a look at the Live Preview section of the How to Use Brackets doc, especially the Using your own backend section.

Note that Edge Code is a rebranding of Brackets, so (almost?) everything in that doc applies to Edge Code.

I have OSX server with local host http://mycomputer.local, but when I set this as the base URL edge code will not resolve the html code in Chrome. Any ideas, do I have to point to the folder that contains the code? How do I get edge code to point to the folder containing the code?
