It's wonderful to hear that you are planning to use Adobe Exchange (Adobe Add-ons). In terms of licensing control, we check on purchase the user is entitled to have the product, for example that they have paid, but after that we look to use any licensing control you have implemented. However, we are about to offer an entitlement API that lets you check if a a user is entitled to your product and if they are not they can purchase from the Add-ons website so we essentially do a licence check. It involves a fundamental change on the extensibility platform but is a simple API for you to implement. I will ask the team to share more information as soon as we can.

Hope that helps.

Jonathan

I'm wondering whether it has license control already, or I need to implement my own license control within the plug-in (then there is a need for encryption, etc, which I think Adobe does not like).

Will Adobe CC verify that a user indeed purchased the plug-in before enable it? I'm afraid people just copy and distribute the plug-in illegally outside exchange, like during the old days.
