strange but after i moved the contents to a new folder. It saves the file and i dont get the message. I will try it again.

I tried with files you have shared in the post how to replay entire composition including video and other animation in edge animate cc 2014.1

I didn't face this issue, is there any specific scenario when you see this message.

You can. Although no one at Adobe is offering up this information. I guess they just want us to suffer through this crappy update.

Anyway, go to https://creative.adobe.com/products/animate and follow my attached pictorial instructions. I uninstalled 2014.1 first, but I don't know if you actually have to do that. I did it because 2014.1 is useless in it's present form.

You should have the original file intact and you should be able to open the same in the previous version. The upgraded file gets saved into a new folder <projectName>_upgraded, which will not open in the earlier versions. However, if you try to open the file from the folder <projectName>, then it will work in earlier versions.

I get the same errors when i try to delete keyframes. I always need to restart the program and it fixes itself, but it happens almost every 30 min.

Also, I don't have UNDO anymore, it's constantly grayed out. This is bad because I usually use that often.

Then select Animate CC (2014) from dropdown selector, and download and install.

I have experienced multiple issues which are nigh impossible to pin down as elements seem to silently disappear/reappear for no reason. I believe that content created in Edge Animate 2014.1 works fine but any content upgraded from the previous version is unreliable. Here's an example of a composition with a button symbol that crashes Edge like it does in the OP when you try to delete keyframes in the symbol's timeline. I have done nothing unusual with this composition other than create it in 2014 and upgrade it using the normal procedure in 2014.1 ThisBreaksEdge.zip - Google Drive

hi;

getting a lot of these errors too + also getting javascript errors suddenly that corrupt files that won't open anymore!

It does seem like a very buggy update.

frustrating.

Hi,

What´s "inline text"? Yes, I write some of the texts in Edge, they often change placing in preview, as well as the distance between to "rows" (sorry, I don´t know these terms in english). Some texts I import from Illustrator as vector blocks, objects in other words. They always work correct.

Do you have a simple solution?

I knew it! Thank god I haven´t updated my version. With all the problems in Edge so far I had the feeling the new version would just make things worse. I´ll update in a year or so. If Adobe hasn´t fixed the major issues by then, like the placing of texts being some sort of random event, I´ll quit my subscription.

Are you saying that the content you have developed in CC 2014.1, could not be opened in CC 2014? Yes, this is possible because in this release we have moved to new runtime which does not have dependency on jquery and we have also redesigned the runtime to reduce its size. This was one of main goals in this release. Based on this change there are changes in JSON format in 'an' file. There are some structural changes in the JSON format. There is a hack some of you have suggested to change the version to 4.0 in JSON file. It may work, but we will not be able to assure you

Hi adobesuckballs

I also wanted the previous version of EA to be available for my work. I could download it from creative cloud page for EA. It has a dropdown which has EA 2014.1 (which is the Max Release) and EA 2014 (which is the previous version). I could install EA 2014 and it does a side by side install with both versions coexisting. You can try this if you are a paid user. It did work for me!!!

I have a suspicion if you have non special character (initial character) in your file names it would be smother.

Importing certain svg's also import at a width and height of "auto" and can't be changed to any other dimensions.

Classic reason why Adobe needs the option for us consumers to be able to backtrack to a previous version of software!!! Edge unfortunately is beginning to become quite a pain to use.

Can't invert transitions either (because it then gives those errors), and sometimes when saving a file it exits you out of the symbol you were working in and up onto the main stage.

Any update on my file and if it was doing the same thing for you too vivekuma?

I agree, very poor update. Renaming symbols in the Symbols palette causes them to lose all their content. Deleting an image from the images folder resulted in the C++ error shown above. If I can roll back to the previous release I will, as its impossible to work with this one

I also got the same message when working on a motion path. I deleted the path and started over. Thank goodness my original version was saved. Terrible update, not the only problem I am experiencing.

Looks like 2014.1 has some bugs that weren't there before (well not for me anyhow).

When I adjust the order of layers in the Element panel or go to delete certain keyframes I'm getting these errors (which is very frustrating)...
