Hello bmohnsen,

I can enter text in just fine using my own built keyboard (see notepad demo below), but I can't get access using an external bluetooth keyboard.

I posted up a demo keyboard last year, which I never finished it off - as most of my iOS programs only needed one line to be filled (mostly just filling in empty forms, like names, passwords etc...)

But when i've got more time I should finish the little notepad demo - it still needs hi-lighting, copy and past, saving and printing - i'll get around to it one day.

Is your experience the same as RJ - that you can't enter text into either in iOS?

Hello bmohnsen,

I use TEXT for on screen display, and fields for data manipulation.

Fields are locked into the ‘times’ font, where TEXT can display any of the iOS fonts.

I've tried both text and fields, but Director app doesn't pick up any changes in either. There is no way to detect any keyboard text of any type, even from iOS keyboard, from a Dir 12 iOS app :-( The Key, KeyPressed(), <if field "input" <> "">, nothing works!

Does it matter - in iOS apps - if you use fields or text?
