I am having the same problem as what you explained above. How can I get the Akamai gods to let me download Captivate as well? It seems when I attempt to go to the trial download again, I get an error message - Header too large message.

Well, FINALLY, the Akami gods let me download Captivate.

I hated Akami when it was all Macromedia used. And I hate it now as this vestige of Macromedia.com is still around.

I am trying to download Captivate to show to a client who wants to use it.

I went to http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=captivate

and chose Mac English.

I got a very small DMG image.

I opened the dmg.

I double clicked the pkg to install. I got an install dialog box.

I agreed to the agreement.

I got a standard install screen.

I was suspicious as 31mb seemed awfully small for a big application. But I clicked Install.

A few seconds later I was told the install was successful.

I looked for Adobe Captivate in my Applications folder. It was not there.

I tried a different browser. I got a fatal error.

I tried the direct download link. Nothing happened. And I've been waiting a long time.

I tried a different browser. Same steps. Same problems.

HELP!
