No I thought that this was the best option, should I phone Adobe UK do you reckon?

Yes, I understand where you are coming from, It is just that some of the answers I see not just to my posts but in general are ones that are pretty obvious, like clearing the Caches, prefs, etc.

I just want the software to work as it should is this too much, perhaps it is, like I say maybe I need a new machine to take full advanctage of PP. In the Grass Valley Forums, the users are very friendly , same as here and often speak how good EDIUS is.

Yes it is a good software, Premiere Pro is the No. 1 software in my view now, but not the No.1 Stable. It has some lovely features and is fun to use, as say just need to start enjoying editing again and not be in fear of crashing and sub performance.

I didn't mean to question your troubleshooting skills. Just remember, as we attempt to help you troubleshoot through a medium like this forum, all we have to go on is what you post. When you state that you "tried clearing cache etc," we have no way to know what "etc" covers, so the safest course is to double-check on what exactly you've tried.

As to your question "how is anyome [sic] in broadcast able to deliver any content if this is how bad it is," the answer is simple: the issues you're hitting are not endemic or even common. That doesn't make them any less crippling for you, but it's not safe to generalize from your experience that every Premiere user is having similar issues. Furthermore, the fact that this forum is full of reports of problems is not a fair representation of the experience of the whole population of Premiere Pro users, just as the health of people polled in the waiting room in a hospital is not representative of the rest of the community. Put it this way, when was the last time you went to a forum (for any app) to report that it's behaving perfectly?

So the challenge is to determine the cause of the problem(s) in your case. Have you contacted our technical support about the crashes you're experiencing?

Yes Mark I did that, I think we are all wise enough to try ourself to fix the issue so not to both anyone, I have just had the runtime crash 6025 again, am seriously now thinking of looking at AVID, Yes EDIUS is still installed on my system but since I am half way through a project then gotta say with Premiere, as say I enjoy your software but not when it is sub par performing and constanting crash, how is anyome in broadcast able to deliver any content if this is how bad it is, but that I am a broadcaster but at the moment and defo seeing Premiere Pro defo not stable enough to make a living from, I am not sure you understand that us video editors have little or no time to be beta testing all the while.

AudioRenderer.dll is an unusual module to be faulting. If you search this entire forum or even all of Google, you'll find very few hits where that DLL is cited as the faulting module. That's not to diminish the impact on your work but rather to merely note that this particular crash is not widespread.

You replied that you "have tried clearing cache etc," but I recommended clearing the preferences, not the cache files. No harm in blasting the cache, but I just want to double-check that you also reset the preferences. Also, did you go through the troubleshooting measures from the OXC000005 article I linked to.

Yes have tried clearing cache etc just had another crash tonight, same again! Lost about 10mins of work, am paranoid now SAVE SAVE SAVE SAVE every action lol.

Also, a few customers have reported that clearing their preferences resolved similar issues. The Preferences are in the "Profile-<username>" folder here: C:\users\<username>\My Documents\Adobe\Premiere Pro\8.0. With PPro closed, rename the Profile-<username> folder. Then launch PPRO. The app will create a fresh copy of preferences file and other files that record custom settings.
