Try to install latest Microsoft VC++ Redistributable package.

What it is saying in Windows Event Viewer log?

Event Viewer doesn't help too much but at least give you some hints.

Have you tried System Restore, or booting to a different user account?

Nothing has changed, and yes, I have rebooted a couple of times with no luck.

What changed on your system since the last time it launched successfully? Have you tried a reboot?

When I launch InDesign I get a message that Adobe InDesign has stopped working.
