Hmm, that's unfortunate. You can scale strokes in Illustrator without making it a symbol, but I guess you can't do it in Flash unless you make it a MovieClip which is kind of a pain. I guess the other option is to convert lines to fills, then it will scale as well. Thanks for the replies.

Yes, if you are using any transform, the scale of the contained parts of an object will not change. If you want the object to appear to be enlarging, then you will need to make it a symbol. When you transform a symbol, you are changing the appearance of the object on the stage. You are not transforming the original object. That remains the same in the Library.

If you want to transform an object drawn on the stage and have some or all of the parts also get larger, you can select each one and then use the stroke size option in the Properties window.

This is no different in Flash CC than it was in any other version of Flash.

The stroke never scales when using free transform. That is the nature of the stroke and the pencil tool -so that can make small drawings and scale them up while keeping the same line width.

The scale property (normal and none) is for movies, it doesn't apply when making the illustration or using transform.

Thanks, but this is not working in CC. If I make a circle and have scaling to "Normal", it won't scale the stroke. Its the same as if I have scaling to "None."

If you select the line that you want to scale, the scale option in the Properties window will work.

I know that in the "Properties" window there is a "Scale" drop-down, but it doesn't work. When I scale in free transform, the stroke doesn't scale unless its in a movieclip.
