You can use touchmove and it should work. I just added touch-punch so I do not have to code touchmove.

Thanks for making it official.

Even Adobe can't make touchmove work and needs to rely on the touchpunch hack.

We have to presume that touchmove is just there for future use.

Make sure you have the js files loaded in the right order. jqueryUI needs to be first then punch-punch.

Here is a sample I made last year but it is still working in 2014.0.1 - I have not tested it in the new version but if the scripts are loaded in the right order it should work.

Oh, I see your point now.

Maybe someone from the Adobe Staff can chime in on its purpose. Because it seems like it doesn't actually do anything at the moment. Maybe it's just there in anticipation of future development?

Thanks for supporting my point, Dylan. So, you haven't found a way to make touchmove work either, and have been forced to use the touchpunch kluge.

So, for both of us, the question remains: What's the point of touchmove?

You need to add the Touch Punch library to your project.

http://touchpunch.furf.com/

Then copy your code from your mouseover event and paste it into a touchstart event.

I cannot find a working example of the touchmove trigger anywhere in these forums (or on the Internet).

Anyone who is successful in dragging an object with touch does so by injecting custom init() handlers into a Stage action upon creationComplete. But I can't find anyone who has used Edge Animate's built-in touchmove trigger on an object.

This code works perfectly for click-and-drag:

mouseover

// insert code to be run when the mouse hovers over the object

sym.$("myobject").draggable({opacity:0.50 , revert:"invalid"});

However, this code does nothing in a touch interface for me:

touchmove

// insert code to be run when a user drags an object (for touch devices only)

sym.$("myobject").draggable({opacity:0.50 , revert:"invalid"});

Can anyone point me to a working example of an action triggered by touchmove on an object in Edge Animate?
