Ryan,

You may try this if you have Yosemite (known issue for CS5, but who knows):

Open System Preferences and go to Accessibility. Next, select Display from the source list along the left, then check the box labelled Reduce transparency.

A few standard troubleshooting steps we'd like you to test out:

1. Recreate preferences: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/526990

2. Clear font cache.

3. Disable any third party plug-ins

4. Starting your computer in Safe boot mode:

5. Creating a new user account and see if the issue persists

So none of my fonts show up all of the sudden when trying to use the character tool to pick a font? please help, this is truly terrible. see attached image. i am working on CS4
