1 week later and not 1 reply to a seemingly simple problem. I've stripped everything right down to the point where I'm pasting a simple rectangle from a newly created document in illustrator created using new document>new document profile: web> advanced>colour mode:RGB into a new empty flash document.

The rectangle is filled with #3399FF but magically changes to #3783FC when pasted into Flash.

This is beyond me. I can't believe that so-called professional software has this kind of issues which make working professionally seem as accurate as finger painting and that no one inside Adobe can actually answer this, specially now that Flash and Illustrator belong to the same company

I'm working with Flash and Illustrator CS4 and I've been banging my head trying to resolve why my colours change when pasted from Illustrator to Flash.

My Illustrator document is set to RGB and all my colours are selected from the web palette.

When I paste into Flash using the AI converter colours change ie:

#666699 becomes #535187, #7704A becomes #0C5F3A etc, etc.. extremely frustrating.

If I paste into Flash as a bitmap the right colours are pasted though but I need to use vectors and this is ridiculous!

Any light greatly appreciated.
