How to download Adobe connect recorded meeting?

Hi,

The recorded adobe connect can be seen by using the recording link. But it is always on the local server.

How can we download such a meeting/ session so that it can be listened offline on desktop?

This is actually an end user's question that I am having trouble answering to...

We use Adobe Connect to give online language classes, the end user is one of the students.

I cannot find the right Support answer to give him.

Problem:

My camera does not work when I connect to Adobe's rooms but camera works fine with other software.

Even though I suspected my old camera was working fine, yesterday I went ahead and bought a new camera.

I thought perhaps my webcam software may have been a problem, so I bought a different type camera with different software.

Even after removing all the old software, same result:

I surmised the problem might be caused by my firewall and security software, so once I tried changing the permissions for Adobe, and my Webcam, but that didn’t work.

Another time, I restarted my computer right before class and then turned off my firewall completely so there would be no interference but to no avail. I’m totally perplexed.

Isn’t there anyone else experiencing a similar problem? Has anyone else found a solution?

I run Windows Vista with McAfee Internet Security Software. I always reboot the computer before class and open no other programs other than Google Chrome.

I now have a brand new Microsoft LifeCam Cinema Camera with LifeCam 3.5 Webcam Software.

I test my camera before going online. It always works fine. Then I shut down the camera program and login into class.

When I “connect webcam” in the room, the light on my camera comes on (suggesting that it is ON), but only a black image is transmitted to the room.

Can not share desktop with Adobe Connect

Hi,
I am using Ubuntu 10.10 32bit with Firefox 3.6.
I recently tried Adobe Connect to share my desktop. But it didn't work.
I can share Document/Whiteboard.
But when I try to share whole desktop, addin launches, but simply remains white with the text: "Loading Adobe Connect...". And then firefox crashes.
Please let me know if anybody knows solution for this.

Have experienced intermittent plugin failures in Safari, Firefox, and Chrome. All on same machine. Any suggestions? Have read about in process/out of process Flash issues in prior versions. Also "sandboxing" and security enhancements to earlier Safari causing probs. Anything recent ? Is there a good guide to "all" sources of this problem and how to troubleshoot?

I am working on behalf of a course developer having an issue with Presenter courses in their LMS (Cornerstone OnDemand/CSOD).

The course is not sending tracking data for users with Internet Explorer 9. or 10

The course works fine when using another browser - IE 7 & 8, Chrome, Firefox.

I am not sure what version of Presenter is being used.

Wacom Bamboo strokes truncated

I am a math teacher in a synchronous online environment, coming to Adobe Connect from Wimba. I am using a WIN 7 PC with the Bamboo Dock software and Wacom Bamboo CTL-470 tablet/stylus combo. Last year's experience in Wimba was less than ideal, but fully functional. Now my school has transitioned to Adobe Connect. When I attempt to write on the whiteboard or annotate a PowerPoint slide, the first "x"percent of each stroke is not visible, as if the stroke is being monitored, but no "ink" is being deposited on the screen, then the last "y" percent of the stroke is "written." I hope my screenshot will illustrate...

As I hope you can see, the beginning of each stroke is missing. (I wrote that at normal speed, like I would while teaching.) Again, it worked fine in Wimba. Also, drawing with the mouse does NOT have this problem.

The problem appears to be time vs length of stroke dependent, meaning if I write VERY VERY slowly, the missing part of the stroke is quite small. But I would have to write too slowly for a live classroom to make this work. As another workaround, if I simply delay moving the stylus until it is "ready" to write, it thinks I am trying to right click, which I sometimes need to be able to do (so I can't turn off that setting).

Any suggestions? (Finding something via Google, I already disabled the Tablet PC Input service via services.msc without seeing any change.)

How can I get embedded videos to play in ppt files within a connect meeting?

Hi all

I'm in a slight panic because I am running my first live session (with a sporting celebrity) on Monday, and the powerpoint file his representatives have sent me has a number of embedded WMV videos, which won't play in connect.

I'm aware adobe won't play any video files except flv. Can anyone recommend a good wmv > flv converter?

I have tried one online application, but I then couldn't import the FLV file into powerpoint.

I have also tried converting the whole ppt to SWF. This uploads ok but still won't play the videos or animations.

Would really appreciate some help - is there a way to import the flvs into ppt and will they then play?

Can't seem to change my email

I am trying to change my mail email in my account. The current email is no longer available to me. I've tried setting up the new email I get a message that says

"Your account changes couldn't be saved."

And then I get a new screen that says

"FOR YOUR PROTECTION, PLEASE VERIFY YOUR IDENTITY."

It wants me to use the old log in email address to verify I'm who I am, which I have done several times, but does not allow me to change the old address to a new one. When I try to put the new email in the main field again I get the same information as above and I get a pop up message that says

"An email has been sent to your inbox. Please check your email to complete verification."

I'm sure the verification is going to my old email address, but I'm not able to get any emails at the old address, as it has been cancelled.

Please help.

Adobe Presenter not showing in power-point

I have been using Adobe Presenter in my Power-point 2013 for over a month now with Adobe Presenter 10. Last week when I opened my file again, Adobe Presenter was not available any more. I have tried to re-install Adobe Presenter, enabled Add in Powerpoint option but to no avail. What is the problem?

html5 publication problem

Hello, I try the html5 publication... and I notice some problem in the output files.

1-The logo I use for the Presenter information is 148 x 52 pixel. It works well with the old Presenter version... but in the html5 publication, the size is not the same as in SWF. On the computer the logo appears smaller and on the tablet it appears in another proportion. That's weird !!!

2-Even if I select a theme without the notes of the Powerpoint, in html5 publication the appears if I click to see the notes (CC). In SWF, the notes doesn't appears if I choose a theme without the notes. How to hide the notes in html5 publication ?

3-I have an audio problem on the first slide.

In SWF publication, the audio begin at 2sec and end à 5sec the presentation pass to the second slide at 6 sec. That's what it's suppose to be... Fine

In html5, the audio begin at 4sec and end at 7sec (seems to) but the presentation pass also to the second slide at 6 sec. So, I miss the end of the audio on the first slide.

How to correct that ?

It's very great to have html5 publication possibility. I hope that it will be better and better...

Hi.

I'm a student and have been running adobe connect since september last year without any problems.

Then yesterday I suddenly couldnt enter any rooms anymore.

When clicking the link to my classroom, the popup window opens as usual but it stops there. As a small white frame.

Right clicking in it gives the message "movie not loaded..."

I've tried both FF and IE. upgraded flash without any effect. Reboot didn't fix it either.

I have not installed any new graphics drivers since this probem occured.

One of my class mates also got this problem just yesterday. We had a meeting last friday and then it was working 100%.

Any ideas?

Audio problems on Macs while playing lectures created with Presenter

My department creates lectures using Presenter 7 or 8 and add mp3 files so that it plays the lectures and audio simultaneously. For the past several months, students who use macs have been reporting problems playing audio. When they open the lecture, the "No Audio" message appears in the navigation bar. We've come to find out that this occurs mainly for 3 reasons:

Students need to update to the latest version of Flash Player especially if they have the Lion OS.
Students need to switch from a firewall restricted wireless connection to a wired connection.
Students are experiencing this problem on a Mac while using a USB headset.

We have not been able to find a solution to the 3rd problem and I haven't seen anyone post it in the forum. We don't believe this problem is related to Flash since students are able to play other Flash related files with audio without any problems. Has anyone ever experienced this problem and know if it's related to Presenter and if there's a fix for it? We require students to use USB headsets.

Unable to connect to Adobe Connect from corporate firewall/proxy

Hello Adobe,

Our legal department have purchased a license for Adobe Connect from yourselves via an external third party, but they can never view any of the webinars hosted externally by yourselves.

I work for our Technical department and have been asked to look into this. One of my colleagues also looked into this a few months ago, but received no word/help or advice back about this.

Scenario: Our legal team need to view a webinar via Adobe Connect hosted externally from a corporate Windows 7 laptop

Laptop is on a corporate network which uses a proxy server (port 8080) to connect to the internet.

They cannot get through to the webinar - sometimes crashes Internet Explorer (v8 and v9 tested), may sometimes get through but it hangs for long periods of time - namely - it's totally unworkable.

On speaking to a tech a few months ago they said this could only be bandwidth issues (we're on a 100MB leased line so it's definately not bandwidth).

Now, what I believe we require is the full pre-requisites of what an organisation needs to do to their firewall environment to allow through these basic connections......Needless to say we also run GotoMeeting and before we set this up they provided us with a full list of tcp/udp ports and options and what needed to be whitelisted etc....I cannot see or find any of this from within Adobe help or FAQ.....(http 1.1 and turning off a pop-up blocker is not what I mean here too).....

Can someone in the know please direct me to what we need to do to get this working?

Unable to Install Acrobat Connect Add-In

I'm trying to install the Add-in on one of my PCs so that I can share the screen. It asks me if I want to install the add-in but clicking on the Yes button (or the No button, for that matter) does nothing. I'm referring to the little pop-up dialog which says:

To use this application, you need the

Adobe Acrobat Connect Add-in. Would

you like to install it now?

At that point, those buttons are dead. I tried tabbing through the buttons to select the Yes button and then pressing Space but that has no effect either. Tabbing does work to highlight the buttons, the "?" and the overal dialog but once the Yes or No button is highlighted there seems to be no way to select any of the buttons.

I can right-click on the dialog and I get the

About Adobe Flash Player 10

menu. Settings is diabled but I can choose About which shows that I have FP 10.0.42.34 installed. Other than that, at this point, there's nothing I can do in the meeting room window except to exit.

This happens in both Firefox 3.6 and Internet Explorer 8 on Windows 7. I've tried repeatedly, tried rebooting.

How can I get the add-in installed??

I have been using registered version of Adobe Presenter ( I have a serial number) for some time. Now I receive the following error message:

"Adobe Presenter failed to open because either it is not licensed or there is an error in the licensing system. Please close and re-launch PowerPoint and enter

serial number to license it. If this problem persists, reinstall this product and try again."

The registration page pops up but just briefly--too fast to click the accept/decline buttons. I have tried deleting the Office and Adobe preference files under User as well as uninstalling/reinstalling but the error message persists making presenter unusable. I also tried to install just a a trial version but also receive the same error message.

System is Win 7. As I said I have been using it for over a year successfully.

What can I do to fix this?

I have published the SCORM 1.2 package using Presenter 10 (project contains static slides and audio only). I had tried to upload it to Moodle 2.7 LMS - after uploading it shows the dialog: Error: parameter sesskey is missing. What can I do? Please, any idea.

Uploading a Powerpoint with embedded videos to a Connect Meeting to work on desktop and mobile; has anyone done this?

I would like to upload a Powerpoint file with embedded videos to work on both desktop and mobile clients in a Connect Meeting. Has anyone managed to do this with Presenter 10 because you cannot do this by uploading to a Connect Meeting directly. Adobe tell me that I need to buy Presenter 10.

The problem I find, apart from some really irritating permission errors with Presenter 10 that often means the project fails to be published to Connect, is that the desktop version of Connect uses Flash and does not support HTML5. The mobile client does not support MP4(!). You have to use FLV video to work in both, but Powerpoint does not support this. Also Media Encoder 2014 does not support FLV so you have to use an earlier version.

So unless I am missing something the only way to get video to work on both platforms is to remove it from the PPT/PPTX, convert to FLV and then add the FLVs to a separate pod. This is a major and time consuming endeavour and is becoming a significant problem for me.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Video creation and importation in Powerpoint

If a reocrd a video and publish it on my computer as a mp4.

When I want to import the mp4 file in Adobe Presenter (Powerpoint) it open Adobe Media Encoder and re-encode the files before importing it on my slide. also it import the video in a 320X240 resolution.... Why ? The source file is already a mp4 and it has a resolution of 1280X720.

Does anyone know how to stream text on the screen using Adobe Connect?

How to add video's control bar?

Today, I've searched 24 pages here for related discussion but no solution was found.

These pictures I listed here were created by other people.

I want to know how to add a control bar below the video? Is it to use the Insert->Video button of Adobe Presenter (0002.jpg), or use the Insert->video button of PowerPoint (0003.jpg)? When I insert a video (in .flv format), it shows like a white box in the original PPT (see 0004.jpg), looks different from the existing 0001.jpg.

And after I published this PPT (with the white box-like video) locally, when this video slide loads, that video plays immediately, but I want pause/stop function.

I also noticed if I try to import a video in .m4v (MP4 Video), PowerPoint says QuickTime is required.

I used to insert video in year 2010, but I forget the details. Maybe at that time I inserted a video with pause/stop function, but I forget.

Or, is it because a specific video format would naturally show the control button?

I previously had Presenter 8 installed, then upgraded to Presenter 9. I have uninstalled both. However, I get this message when I try to install Presenter 10: "A conflicting or prerelease version of Adobe Presenter 10 (64 bit) exists on this computer. The conflicting version must be removed before installing from the current media."

I never had Presenter 10 installed previously in any form. I suspect something in the Registry is the problem. Anyone had this experience and know how to resolve it?

Few days back i had attended Adobe Connect meeting using iPad App successfully. But now when I am trying to access recording, I am not able to. I have the URL which opens in safari but it's flash content and hence it doesnt work.

I have a new ASUS C300M Chromebook. My boss says I cant be presenter with Chromebook. Is this because Chrome has a problem with the Add-in needed for screen share? If so, is there any way around it, so I can use Chromebrook as presenter?

Adobe Connect Microphone problem

Hi I am unable to use the microphone on Connect. Microphone works on other software such as Skype. When I go to audio setup, it does not allow me to record - no action when I click on record button. Tried a lot of trashing prefs but still having problems.

Even tried starting Safari under Rosetta.

Windows 7, IE 10, Adobe Presenter 9

I have an email hyperlink created in PPT/Presenter that works fine within PPT. However, when I publish the course to My Documents and view the presentation, once I click the email hyperlink, it opens an email but opens an additional window..."Navigation to webpage canceled". It reacts this same way when published to our LMS. The user will need to close the extra window, which may cause confusion. Our IT department has looked at my IE security settings and I have set my flash security settings to "allow" for My Documents folder. I went back to a similar course I created a couple of years ago, but I do not receive this message when I click the hyperlink. I was using an older version of Presenter at that time.

Has anyone experienced this same issue and had a resolution?

We would only like to have the presenter and registered attendees have access to our Virtual Meetings held one to two Tuesdays a month. Each session is different and accessed by that days presenter and those who register for the event. Our registrations are processed and paid through our database/meeting file. Once I have a list of registrants, how do I give just the registered attendees and presenter access to the event. We would prefer that once they receive the URL that they be required to log in using their email address and Member ID which we assign. If that is possible, how do I upload or give the list of registered attendees to Adobe Connect so that participants and presenter have access to session?

I am running Adobe Connect on a MAC using OSX 10.9.5 and have just installed the latest version of the add-in ( 11.9.971.247) to try to fix the problem. Every time I adjust the volume with F11 or F12 I get a white screen and the message 'Plug-in Failure'. I have also set the add-in to run in Safari in 'unsafe mode' but this has not fixed the problem.

I've been running Connect on this MAC for many months now without the problem but cannot understand why it has suddenly started. Any help or ideas would be gratefully appreciated.

I recently installed Presenter 9 and have attempted to publish a presentation to our Adobe Connect Pro site. The permissions are set for public viewing, however anytime a user attempts to view the presentation they receive an error message of "Connect session has timed out"..

Clicking the Login button does nothing. (Besides the fact that they should not be required to login anyway.)

I've attempted to publish directly to Adobe Connect from Presenter and I've also attempted uploading it to Connect as a .zip presentation. In either case, the error still occurs.

I'm at a loss on how to get this published and functional. Can anyone assist?

Adobe Presenter 10 Drag and Drop questions - only grey box when trying to create

Hi,

I try to create drag and drop questions in Presenter 10 and after clicking on Add Question -> Drag Drop, the new window opens but where I should be able to define the questions etc, the screen is just grey. Have the same issue on three other systems as well.

Flash is updated to latest version and so is Presenter 10.

Weirdly the installed Flash version is 15, but a right-click into the grey box shows me version 11.

Any ideas?

Yesterday when I opened my Photoshop 11 my tools changed, my work area changed and more. I personally didn't do anything different. I did notice my computer underwent a Windows update of over 24,500 items. I have no idea what this is about either. Can anyone help? Thank you. Jan

Adobe Presenter 8 won't publish correctly

I get the Adobe Presenter splash page, the little green circle and that's it. The size of the pdf appears like more should be there, but that is all that is showing on my screen.

I was working fine in AP 8, upgraded to AP 9. Went to publish and the NOTES would not show in the sidebar, neither would contact link and information. That all worked fine in AP 8. So I uninstalled 9, reinstalled 8 and now I can't even get it to publish to see if the NOTES would show.

Can anyone direct me how to fix this?

Presenter cannot see chat pod

There has been a few times when the presenter can't see the chat pod while presenting. Any thoughts?

I have Yosemite OS and when almost completed, it tells me to close Dashboard Client. What is that? I have everything closed.
