How much does the Digital Publishing Suite cost?

Digital Publishing Suite is available in both a Professional Edition and an Enterprise Edition. Pricing for the Professional Edition is based on a monthly Platform fee--which lets publishers access the Digital Publishing Suite and create apps for all of their titles and publications--as well as a small Service Fee for each publication downloaded by a reader. The Enterprise Edition is a custom, multiyear platform agreement that includes access to APIs for integrating back-end publishing services such as subscription management, print fulfillment, and e-commerce. Creative Cloud Subscribers get 'Activate App' prompt in DPS App Builder

Some Full Creative Cloud subscribers get 'Activate App' prompt while trying to download the App (Developer.ipa or distribution.zip) from DPS App Builder.

Note : Only Full Creative Cloud Subscribers have access to DPS with creative cloud, Single App/product subscribers do not get DPS with their subscription.

If you're still using the prerelease tools to publish a custom viewer before prerelease ends, use the Drop 11 tools and documentation on the prerelease site.

The prerelease site also includes the Publishing for iPad Viewer companion guide, which walks you through the steps of creating the required certificates, splash screens, and icons for submitting a custom viewer app to the Apple App Store.

Hi Everyone

I am having a problem with my adobe content viewer when i update it with IOS 8.0.2! before i am not having a problem and enjoy everything when i am still in IOS 6. Please help [:

If you get this error message in the Adobe Content Viewer while trying to view a folio, it means that you're trying to open a new folio with and older viewer. This frequently happens between when a new set of tools is released and Apple approves the newest viewer version. If you install the new tools and create a folio, the current version of the Adobe Content Viewer isn't able to display the folio. You can do any of the following:

* If you have a Professional or Enterprise subscription to DPS, use the Viewer Builder to create a custom version of the Adobe Content Viewer. This custom version has Preview on Device enabled, unlike the store version.

* Wait for Apple to approve the newest viewer version. Use the Desktop Viewer to preview content for the time being.

* If you can't wait for the viewer to be approved, uninstall the tools and reinstall an older version of the DPS tools. See this article.

The Folio Producer Service were updated recently. As part of this update, we’re addressing the “spinning wheel during update” error that will occur when the Folio Builder panel is not updated. If you have not already done so, please update your panel to the 1.1.4 version.

Note that updating the panel does not update your authoring tools or remove any content. It keeps the panel in sync with the web client.

If you experience the spinning wheels problem in the Folio Builder panel after you update it, delete and re-create the articles (do not delete the folio). That should fix the problem.

If the problem is still not resolved after updating your panel, please send an email message to DL-digipub-feedback@adobe.com.

Can I sideload folios to my iPad?

Sideloading is a process that lets you use iTunes to manually add a .folio file to the Adobe Content Viewer. With the newest release of tools (Drop 12), sideloading is no longer available. Instead, if you sign in using the same Adobe ID on the viewer that you use in the Folio Builder panel, you can download any folio you have access to. For the first download, this process can be time-consuming, especially for larger folios. However, after you download the first time, only the new folios are downloaded during an update.

If you want other people to preview your content, use the Share command in the Folio Builder panel to share the folio. To view the shared folio, users need a copy of InDesign CS5 or CS5.5 with the free Folio Producer tools installed and a free Adobe ID account.
