Remove "Destination State" - anyone done this?

How do we get rid of the Destination State dropdown?

Australia doesn't even have state taxes and this option is messy and confusing.

Would love to hear if anyone was able to remove this

Hi,

This was discussed in the old BC forum around September 2009. It was at a stage that BC added this item to the development wishlist, but nothing seems to have been done since then. There were a lot of people wanting this at the time. There was a group of partners that were going to try and get this module setup, but apparently something to do with the ever changing BC put a stop to this.

Basically, the point of this topic is to find out how we would integrate a new shipping option that is currently not available in BC. Our client only delivers products Australia wide. They would also like the ability for an origin and destination postcode that alters the final price. Weight and dimensions would also need to be taken into account.

I have done a bit of research and it seems that Toll would be a solution to use. How would I go about integrating it though? Is this something that other partners have been able to do? Will BC get around to integrating more shipping options?

Remove product from cart AND go to catalog with 1 button

How can I modify the remove item from cart button to also go to a catalog when the item is removed on click?

Here's the button:

I used javascript to change the text to "Continue Shopping" and changed the href value from "#" to "/all-ttha-gear".

This link is being displayed in a modal when a user drops the shopping cart total below $40. I want them to click continue shopping and have it remove the bonus item from the cart.

As the a tag is displayed above, it removes the correct product but stays on the same page.

Any thoughts?

Accepting eftpos payments

Hi.

Can anyone please assist in advising how my client can collect eftpos card details and allow the user to purchase their products? They don't have an eftpos machine. They do have a current payment gateway to process online transactions via their website, but that only allows for credit card / COD etc options.

Ideally, when a customer walks into their shop, they'd like to be able to take down their eftpos card details and enter them into the system to allow them to purchase their products. Is this possible?

Stop cash payment method showing order as paid in receipt and orders list

If I use the cash payment method (or EFT or cheque) the order and receipt show as paid when they are still pending payment.

Further, when I go to manually pay the system says that it is already paid.

I don't want this to happen. How do I fix it or is it a bug?

Product Filtering on Ecommerce Site

Does anyone have a good solution to provide product filtering for an online store??

The {tag_browsepanel} is too simple and only allows for price search. Would like a similar function to occur, but based off of assigned categories that would be assigned to the different products.

The client needs filters set up for criteria such as:

Color
Product
Size
Material
Price
Manufacturer

Would liquid be any help in this? Is there any known plugin that works efficiently with BC?

I got a problem with my "large product view"

1: the product thumbnail is placed to the left, I would like it to be centered.

2: the thumbnail is kind of small, how do I make it larger?

where in the CSS do I change those things?

I've got the CS6 students edition. I nowhere can find the ecommerce tool for BC even in bc toolbar? Is this not included or how do I set this up?

Hey there, we're locked into a pitch against a Magento crew. The client wants a multi domain ecommerce solution like www.Wag.com, using different domains but a single shopping cart and back end. Does anyone have examples of where BC has been used as a multi domain ecommerce solution? Any advice? The client wants a low maintenance solution, I think BC is perfect for that just need examples of where BC has worked as a multi domain solution.

Selling tokens like BC Gurus

When you buy a template from bcgurus you buy tokens. Would anyone be able to guide me to setting the product so I can seel a bulk of tokens, and whne someone wants to attend an event they will have to use a token.

Stop recurring orders sending out invoices (invoices go from Quickbooks - not BC)

Our client needs to create subscription orders in BC against a client, these recur once a month. BC automatically creates and emails an invoice against these orders. However the client wants to use Quickbooks for their accounts to create and send the actual invoice, and BC simply as a CRM system. BC is automatically creating and sending invoices every month for the clients against the order raised in BC - effectively duplicate invoices of the Quickbooks invoice - which we do not want to have sent out.

Can the automated invoicing be switched off in BC or is there a way around this.

As the name suggests, is this easily possible?

Specifically on a mobile device to make it easier for site visitors to get through the process, I'd like an Add to cart button, that once the product is added to the cart, you're automatically forwarded on to the checkout.

Show more products per page in catalog

I'm trying to set up my catalog and it's only displaying 12 items per page leaving me with 13 pages of items. Is there any way for me to have it display 60 items per page or something similar?

I got it to display 6 items across using {tag_productlist,6} but can't get it to display a set amount vertically.

Australia Post Shipping Charges

Hi all,

If I use the Aust Post Standard shipping option, it tends to round up the $ eg If I select the standard $7.20 postal charge, it displays as $7.21 on the invoice. Has anyone had this issue and managed to find a work-around? Shipping is a pain overall but it would be nice to get it right.

eCommerce Product Attribute Formatting

I am building an online store with product attribute checkboxes. When I add {tag_attributes}, the text is too close to checkboxes (see above). How can I add space between the text and the checkbox? Thanks!

Change Who Receives Product Re-Order Notifications

I have a client site that is sending me all their product re-order notifications and it is rather annoying.

I am not sure where or how I change this, as I have already changed the roles and users so that I am not assigned to any workflows.

Sadly, I still get the annoying reorder notification email!

Any help on how to fix this one guys?

Hi there,

Ok I'm completely confused about the pricing tags and how to include and exclude tax based on customer...

What I need:

Consumers - see pricing including GST

Wholesalers - see pricing excluding GST

Wholesalers - see also volume pricing excluding GST

When I use on the large product layout

* {tag_totalprice} Total price of the product, i.e. Sale Price + Tax

= This works for consumers perfectly.

But how do I make it so wholesalers will see Price Excluding GST?

I tried using {module_isloggedin} and also tested with the catalogue set to show pricing to everyone - but then it wont show their wholesale pricing even when they are marked as a wholesale customer..

* {tag_totalretailprice} Total retail price of the product, i.e. Retail Price + Tax = This works for consumers perfectly to see the original amount.

But wholesalers don't have an option of seeing the normal price / pre sale price.

Another option I thought of was to make consumers pricing with no tax but We have to include the Tax amount on the tax invoice so it's not possible to select no tax for consumers as that wouldn't be right / our accountant would have a fit as legally we must include taxable amount...

Can someone point me in the right direction pretty please or paste in what they did that works?

Please add 3D secure to the Ogone Payment Gateway

In Belgium there is only one payment gateway that can be used: the one by Ogone. This is supported, except for the 3D secure option. The problem is that all acquirers need the 3D secure authentication and this is not supported in BC. So this leaves us at this moment with an e-commerce solution without working payment gateway.

I'm not sure how it is in the rest of Europe, but I don't think that 3D secure is only in Belgium a necessary specification.

Paypal is no valid alternative for us. Anyone else who needs this? Or has everybody in Europe already left the ship?

Hi, I'll be creating an ecommerce site that will serve multiple countries. I have a few questions, and I would really appreciate advice. Thanks in advance for your help.

Can I set the BC website to only display certain products to visitors residing in certain countries?
Can I set the BC website to display different prices and currencies to visitors residing in certain countries. (I'd assume that I can apply the appropriate currency, but can I set the specific price too)?
Can I have the same website, display a different country domain based on where it is accessed from?

Linking into a Point of Sale System

Hello everyone.

I am a 'newer' BC partner and I was wondering if anyone has, or knew if it was possible to be able to link the BC Ecommerce system with a physical store point of sale system like Smart Vendor. or similar?

This would mostly be for adjusting inventory levels in both systems when products are bought online, or in the store.

Can the API Integration be used for this, and where would I even start?
