Live Preview not connecting

The live preview feature tells me I need to relaunch chrome with remote debugging enabled, but I can't figure out how to enable it. Any pointers?

Adobe Edge code live preview is not working

I've recently downloaded Adobe Edge Code and noticed that the live preview doesn't work when i edit it and i also checked the source code and sore that it didn't change. The icon in the top right corner is yellow, i am using Windows 7 and Google Chrome.

So like everyone else im really excited about Edge in general, and Edge code looks like its shaping up into something special.

Dreamweaver has been part of my work flow for.. ever....

Is there any plans to intergrate the Adobe Code technology into the code view of Dreamweaver, I understand the complications of that, but that just seems the sensible thing to do, or is the aim for Edge Code to replace Dreamweavers code tools??

Adding Themes to Edge Code

Is there any way to apply themes to the code view? I really dislike the font and color theme that comes with it. I hate white backgrounds, hoping to use a Midnight Blue or similar theme. Is there just a file I can edit within the app? Please advise..

Is there a way to change the autocomplete keyboard shortcut to tab instead of enter?

All other coding software I've ever used uses tab instead of enter to accept the autocomplete suggestion. In fact, Chrome's Inspect Element does the same thing. It's frustrating to switch between those two pieces of software and have two different buttons for the same task, that do drastically different things when pressed in the opposite program. Is there a way I can change it in Edge Code?

Live Preview not Working

Using Edge Code Preview experimental build 0.97.0-359084144 I get :

Live Preview Error : Unable to load Live Development page

when attempting to do a live preview.

Chrome does pop up and the page is loaded, after a few seconds the above error is thrown, and any further changes to the document are not shown in the browser.

This occurs both when not using a local server and when using http://www.learning.local:80. The local server is hosted by IIS on Windows 7.

Is there any way of debugging Edge Code to attempt to see why this is happening?

Any help greatly appreciated, need any more info please ask.

How to uninstall Adobe Edge Code Preview 3 after installing Adobe Edge Code CC

After installing Adobe Edge Code CC via Creative Cloud I have noticed I still have Adobe Edge Code Preview 3 on my machine.

There is no specific uninstaller in Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers

So how do I uninstall it?

Then I get message Live Preview Error :Unable to load Live Development page

What should I try to fix this.

Live Preview opens up Google Chrome tab, but Chrome is absent of its user profile.

Hi there,

So, to cut a long story short. I have Google Chrome m32 & Google Chrome Canary installed on my desktop.

I have been attempting to test "Live Preview" and found that upon clicking the 'light bolt' I would be presented with a new Google Chrome Canary window, and its associated user profile (extensions and all) would be missing.
Live Preview would work for a few seconds, until I was greeted with this error prompt:

I figured this was obviously a problem with Edge Code CC opening up the incorrect browser as my default browser is Google Chrome (stable M32); not to mention Canary cannot be enabled as a default browser.

So, upon further persual I found this handy link on the Brackets github: https://github.com/adobe/brackets/wiki/Troubleshooting#wiki-check-windows-registry

Checking the registry to see what settings were applied, I found that Canary (SxS) was set as the default chrome.exe launcher??

As this is quite obviously not meant to be 'normal'; and whether this is a bug on behalf of the Chromium team, I have no idea, but I changed the default paths to Google Chrome Stable (M32)

Back to Edge Code CC I went and attempted to open the default getting startred html file with Live Preview. It works as expected and I am not receiving the previous error Edge Code CC was throwing about being unable to load the development page — except that it opens up a skeleton Google Chrome Stable (M32) tab, which is absent of its associated (singular only) user profile. The other issue besides the missing user profile; is I am now receiving this error from Google Chrome Stable (M32):

Any help with this bug would be greatly appreciated.

Can't install Brackets Git

Trying to use Brackets as my daily editor, and wanted to install the "Brackets Git" extension

https://github.com/zaggino/brackets-git

But when I try to "Install from URL" I get the error "This extension isn't compatible with your version of Edge Code"

I've got the latest Edge Code CC installed through the Creative Cloud installer running on OS X Mavericks.

I've seen the extension be suggested on previous threads, any reason why it wouldn't work?

As part of this, Adobe will no longer actively develop Edge Code, and will instead direct users to Brackets. Brackets has seen tremendous success since it was first unveiled and by focusing all our efforts on Brackets, we can continue to drive innovation while providing access to Creative Cloud features like Extract for Brackets to the growing Brackets community.

With very few differences between the two products, we recommend that that customers needing a lightweight web development editor use Brackets instead. Edge Code will continue to remain available for Creative Cloud customers, and they will receive in app messaging about the change and encouraged to begin using Brackets for the latest features. Moving projects from current Edge Code projects to Brackets is seamless.

I installed the 1.0 of brackets and there is a quickdoc feature (CMD+K on a mac) for HTML as a build in extension - unfortunatly, I get the error message, "No Quick Docs available..." ... what can I do?

Edge Code and Emmet plugin

I installed Emmet plugin in Edge Code, everything works fine exept code hints. They appears but i cannot applying them with Enter. When i hit Enter i go to new line. Any suggestions?

No icon for Adobe Edge Web Fonts in Adobe Edge Code

Hello, I can't embed the code for the Adobe Edge Web Fonts in Adobe Edge Code.

There should show up a icon to click where I can embed the code, but it doesn't show up or exist.

I also searched for this problem in the forum already and followed the instructions with the "string.js" (delete "de":true)

and opened my TypeKit-Account while starting Edge Code, but nothing works.

The icon for the code is still missing. Any help for this problem?

Live Preview not working

When I run Live Preview with Google Chrome 33.0.1750.152 it tells me

Live Preview Error : Unable to load Live Development page

My version of Edge Code is up to date. I've opened the files as a folder. I was going through the tutorial which shows that the preview updates as you type but mine only updates when I save, which kind of defeats the whole purpose of using Edge.

Any suggestions? I'm running on a Mac Pro with OS X 10.9.2

Shortcuts and latin letters

Hello,

I have started my adventure with Edge Code, and at start I saw big ploblem for developers, that using latin letter.

Problem:

Polish developers have many problem with this bacause we got "Polish Programmer" keyboard layout. If someone want to use latin letter (ąęłóćżź), he have to press right alt, that is corresponds to combination of ctr+alt.

So if in aplikation setting are shortcuts alt + ctrl + letter, we can't work. There are 2 letters that we can't use - altr+ctrl+a and alt+ctrl+o (Alt Gr + A or Alt Gr + O).It's hard to work, because we cant write correct work.

Solution:

1. Open as administrator notepad or wordpad

2. Go to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Edge Code CC\www\base-config or C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Edge Code CC\www\base-config for x64

3. Open keyboard.json file

4. Change Alt-Ctrl to Ctrl+Alt

5. Save

Will there be features like automatic code completion or automatic adding of closing brackets for JavaScript Code or automatic adding of closing tags in html? (Or did I just not find them?)
