They're not part of the website, and no one is going to make Dreamweaver recognize that they're part of the site, no way.

So, there's no visible way, no way that I can see, to add the script files to my website. Nor does there appear to be any help anywhere on the Internet. If the problem is too simple to see, aren't the next 100 people going to make exactly the same mistake?

Setting current Project as IIS root

Hi Folks,

As I'm currently using my single XP workstation to work on
several websites, I'm a bit fed up with changing manually the IIS
DocumentRoot to test my page (sometimes, one doesn't have a server
at hand). Indeed, non server IIS can only bare one website at a
time.

For this reason I developed this simple script to set the
current Project (you must work with Homesite projects) as the
documentRoot for the local IIS.

Copy the following code into a vbs file and enjoy it the way
you like : it can be a button, a shortcut, and even, in a project,
be used as a deployment script (why not ?)

Have fun.

Search Replace Macro

am trying to develop a macro that searches for all instances of
special characters, and replaces them with their corresponding HTML
character entities. (like replacing & with &). This can
be a tedious task when entering in a lot of customer-based content,
because any piece of non-standard code will break the page it's on.
However, in Homesite 5, the Search and Replace feature is
broken when recording macros. Does anybody know a work-around for
this? I tried editing the macro script manually, but judging form
the error messages it seems that the macro doesn't even recognize
the Search/Replace command (I believe cmdSearchReplace). If anybody
has come up with a work-around for recording this feature in a
macro I would be VERY appreciative, as it would save me literally
hours. Thanks!

Homesite as a Quick Start wizards. On the wizard's 1st page
there is a drop-down list with all !doctype available. Some of
those are missing the w3.org url (particulary those HTML 4.01). I
have noticed that if the url is not there Firefox goes in quirk
mode.

Now, I looked everywhere in Homesite's directories to locate
where those !doctype definitions are stored so I could had the url
missing but I failed to find them. I also took a peek into XP's
registry and faced another dead end.

So does anyone know where those definitions are
stored?

now we distribute templates to each workstation, which makes
maintentance difficult when they need to be updated/deleted
etc.
