How do I remove the referenced file location from the Properties and Preferences boxes? I am using Adobe Acrobat v 10.1.12 and have already sanitized the document.

Pressure sensitivity not working properly!

Hi, I have a problem that is pretty much destroying my animation career and it seems like I will never be able to continue with this interest of mine if I can't fix this issue. I'll try to keep it short: I started animating back in '08, but I started doing serious animation in '11 when I got my first tablet and it was a Wacom Bamboo Pen. It worked fine until this fall when I discovered that the pressure sensitivity didn't work properly in Flash and after doing pretty much everything I could to fix this I came to the conclusion that the tablet must be broken so I bought a new one and this time I bought a Wacom Bamboo Pen & Touch Gen 3. Since I had spent about 15 hours planning and making the background and stuff for the animation I was really happy to finally after two weeks be able to finish the animation with my new tablet, but I soon discovered the devastating fact that the same exact issue was present, the pressure sensitivity was useless. I have literally ruled out EVERYTHING! I have tried two tablets, three computers, two operating systems, I have tried Flash 8, CS3, MX, CS5 and I have installed every god damn tablet driver I can find, it just doesn't make ANY sense at all. Also, my tablet works fine for all other programs except Flash, it can be used for both Photoshop and Paint Tool Sai.

Please, if you know any way to fix this issue just let me know because I do not feel happy at all to put one of my favorite interests on the shelf just because of this one error!

How to remove white line that appears on background of flash file when viewing in powerpoint?

When importing a swf file into powerpoint with a background colour a thin white line appears on the top of the flash movie when played in powerpoint. The white line disappears when you click onto another slide and back again, but always appears when initially playing the slide. Anyone have any ideas why this is and how to remove it?

Swf in Powerpoint, get rid of the black box in fullscreen.

Hi!

I've a problem, I've put a SWF (with an animation) into Powerpoint, it looks fine in fullscreen. But If I go to the next slide, and then back to the slide which has the SWF on it, it'll display a black box. Which unfortunately looks totally unproffesional, I've to get rid of this black box.

The problem only occurs if I go back. When I come from the slide before the SWF, the animation looks fine.

Is there a solution to this issue?

I've been having problems with an online game and they suggested I update my flash player. It seems that I don't have it at all (though I have adobe reader) because when I click start and type in flash player nothing can be found. My question is if I download flash player will it interfere with my adobe reader program. Would rather do without than have to mess with any reader issue as I need that for ebooks. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello guys, I am having a basic issue here, after creating my movie it's published in swf & it's working fine.

problem appears when i maximize the window then all the symbols that I Use & should remain hidden , appear.

so maximize doesn't stretch the swf but only shows the hidden areas.

now when i tried to convert the movie to a video format it also showed parts outside of the stage.

can you please give me a hint on what should i do?

Flash Lite 3.1 not working on JASJAR - Win Mobile 5.0

Hi all,

I got hold of an iMate JASJAR on Windows Mobile 5.0 & wanted to test out Flash Lite 3 functionalities on it.

I download distributableplayer_flashlite_wm5ppc_en.zip from adobe labs & installed it.

I already had Flash Lite 2 which was working perfectly. On installation of Flash Lite 3 it asked for overwrting the previous version with I said ok & got installed, & when I created a .swf file for Flash Lite 3 from Flash CS4 it gives out an error "Flash 8 swfs are not supported, will attempt to load swf anyway" & then on clicking OK give out a message "Corrupt SWF Data".

Why is this happening. Kindly help me out.

First, I wanted to apologize if this was the wrong forum. I could not seem to post anything to the Flash Player Forums. Thanks.

Okay. So, after a while of trying to send the bug reports, I figured this might be a bit easier. I recently updated the Flash Player to the most recent Windows XP (SP3) version of 11.2.202.228 on 3/31/12. There have been little to no crashes up to this point while using previous versions. However, on the following day, I attempt to use Google's music player and get a crash message. Refreshing the page did not seem to help. I attempted other websites that use it like Netflix and youtube and those were either crashing in the case of youtube, or not working properly (not offering sound) in the case of Netflix. I have attempted to check my various settings, both for the Player and for Mozilla Firefox v11.0, and haven't seen anything that would interfere. I restarted my computer to no avail. I have even checked your troubleshooting page and I still do see the moving dot. Let me know if you need any further info.

Are there any other things I need to check? What can I do to fix this?

[Edit] Even tried to remove it via Add/Remove Programs and reinstall from a fresh download. Still did not help.

How can I tell what version I have? Flash player especially but also other ADOBE prooducts? I've seen a page where it tells me the flash veriosn but I can't find it. Adobe I can find by opening the reader and clicking help/about. Isn't there a page somewhere I can display this info w/o having to check each product? It should show my version and the current version and allow me to upgrade rigth there, kinda' like FireFox plugin display (although that shows the versions, the upgrade doesn't always work!)

Flash Lite fails to install on Windows 6.1

I recently upgraded my blackjack to Windows Mobile 6.1 and today decided to re-install the application I was working on. After downloading the .CAB and allowing Flash Lite to install I get this error: "Adobe Flash Lite is not available for this device".

I live in Canada, is this also a possible reason for the error? I had been using the distributal player previously on Windows 6.0 so I'm assuming it worked at some point, or maybe I had downloaded a stand alone version of Flash Lite?

Help!!!

PS: If Windows Mobile 6.1 is not supported, is it on the roadmap? What about Windows Mobile 6.5+?

Flash Player doesn't recognise Logitech Camera

I have plugged in my new Vision Pro and it works perfectly in iChat, Yahoo or Skype messengers and Photobooth.
But when I try to use it on a web based video chat, Flash Player doesn't recognise it as available and only proposes to use my iMac's integrated cam.

I've checked that I have the latest release of Flash Player of course!

Considering purchasing Ovation. Can find no forum and the is no pre-sales tech support. I am using Windows 7 and PowerPoint 10. To import ppt files, I have to save them in a 2003 version. When I import them, the preview box is black.. I can't see a preview of what I've done. help appreciated.

If you are purchasing from the Adobe Education Store, do NOT fax your Proof of Academic Identification Form to 415-626-2975. Although the number is on their website, 2 customer service reps told me that they no longer have a fax machine. They want you to go through a customer service rep over the phone. I've read that PDF/A-1b allows documents to be stored for long-term storage/archival. How is PDF/A-1b different than a standard PDF file? What is it that allows PDF/A-1b to preserve the data in a PDF any better than your typicla PDF. My company sells Adobe PDF technlogies and these are questions that my students ask me on a daily basis, and I don't have good answers for them. Your assistance is greatly appreciated!!

Problem with cookies in FL4, Android 2.1, EVO4G?

Got a 4G at work today and started putting some of our apps onto it. First time using Flash Lite 4, so it was very exciting to see it running AS3 swfs right out of the box. Very slick.

Ran into a problem though. When I talk to a server which creates an HTTP session, the session cookie is not being used for subsequent server calls, which cause the session to fault since the server cant look up the session with no key.

When I use the web browser directly (no flash) the cookies work. Problem seems to be between Flash Lite 4 and the SenseUI/Browser system running on Android 2.1 for EVO4G.

I've tried this with both AS2 and AS3 based swfs and all have the same behavior. Session created at login, cookie comes across (verified on the server) but when the client calls the server again, no cookie response and server doesnt see that as part of the same HTTP session.

This all works on a number of devices, including HTC HERO running a Flash Lite version of this application. I've got two apps I'm working on getting onto the EVO, one compiled for player 7 the other for player 10.

I've tried to google up some answers and read various forums but this software is pretty new and I cant find anyone who's had this problem yet.

Any ideas? (The way way cookies are enabled on the phone, plus as I said it works if I hard-code my HTTP calls into the browser address bar, but when my flash application makes the same call, no cookie).

My Windows XP system was recently reinstalled. Now I have to go back and install all my programs.(Sound familiar?!)

I have tried several times to download CS3 from my original disks, but have been unsuccessful.

I have restarted my machine. I have closed all other programs. I have done everything I can think of to anticipate any issues, but I still get the same results.

I have looked through the Adobe.com knowledgebase. I attempted to start a case on the website support portal (which also did not work... the drop down menus did not drop down and there were no other avenues to try). I called 800-642-3623 for information. After a long and frustrating conversation (language difficulties), she said my issue was beyond her range of expertise and that I should try to contact technical support tomorrow at 572-5061. I asked if that was an 800-number and she said no. I asked for an area code and she said I didn't need one. I tried calling the number and got a fast busy.

I feel helpless and frustrated and am becoming increasingly annoyed. I produce a monthly newspaper and this is the software I use.

I have been considering upgrading to a newer CS version, but am appalled at the lack of support for previous versions.

I suspect many of you have felt this same sort of panic ... a deadline looming,... computer and/or software problems... and I don't know how to resolve the issue. I am already at wit's end with the system breakdown... I thought I was over THAT crisis, only to have this one looming.

Purchasing this CS product was a significant investment for me... now I am dependent on it, having created my newspaper with CS format.... does ANYONE out there have any suggestions for me? Please? I feel like I've hit a brick wall. I've tried everything I can think of... so far spending hours looking for solutions....

Encoding H264 video

Hello, all,

I have been trying to write a proof-of-concept application: a simple video player that plays a H264 video.
Everything works fine when I feed the player a .FLV file, but H264 doesnt do anything.
My test device is a Nokia N95 8GB.
1) If I am correct then the N95 can play H264 files right?
2) Am I encoding the video wrong? Tried Quicktime export 3ggp, 'mpeg4', and tried Adobe Media Encoder etc. What are the correct settings?
3) any other reason why it wont play?

The Symbian Express documents say that they require the .PKG file used to create the .sis when submitting for signing.

"Zip your application SIS file together with the PKG file from which you created it".

When we are using the mobile packager there doesn't seem to be a .pkg file associated with it. I can take this matter up with Symbian, but have missed something obvious?

XMLSocket to localhost problem

Hello!

Doe anyone have experience with XMLSockets that have to connect to the localhost (or 127.0.0.1)?

My flash application can connect to all other servers but not to the server the flash app resides on.

The server accepts the socket but in flash the onConnect event has "false" as parameter. If I ignore this and start sending anyway, sometimes the data is send to the server.

I run windows CE6.0 R3 with flash lite 3.1.

Any Idea's?

Let me start off by telling you that I'm not a mobile developer, and I don't have any experience with it. I'm a graphic/web designer with some Flash experience (mostly Actionscript 3.0)

At my job we have ordered this touchscreen device with Windows CE 5.0 on it. I'm trying to figure out the best way to create a simple user interface with buttons and images that I can animate using Flash CS3. I'm finding it hard to find good beginner information on how I can accomplish this.

Does any version of Flash Lite work on Windows CE? Is it a standalone player or browser plugin? What is the difficulty level for installing it? Is there an installer or some other way to install?

After countless google searching it seems like maybe Flash Lite does not work on Windows CE, and that the only way to get Flash on a Windows CE device is to create a custom version of Flash Player 7 using the sdk, is this true?

Any help would be awesome as my boss thinks this should be a walk in the park and its hard to say "I'm not qualified to get this working" without having some real information to back me up. Thanks!

Flash Lite 4.0 vs FP 10 for mobiles

We are starting a project with a launch timeframe of 6 months and it would be really helpful if we could get more information from Adobe on the mobile roadmap for 2010.

According to this slide, FL 4.0 will be a web plugin only: http://blog.flavert.com/2009/09/26/flash-lite-4-in-2010/

Does it mean that it will not be supported by the Mobile Packager?

IE, the distributable player solution will only download FP 10.1 OTA instead?

If so, what about mass market devices without enough processing power for 10.1 , will those be stuck with FL 3.1 ?

If not the case, and if FL 4.0 **will** be downloadable OTA for applications, than Adobe should not be putting out information that it's a web plugin only.

Please please Adobe, come clean on this. Before all bosses decide to dump Flash Lite altogether.

Can someone tell me how i can play flash video in my web browser?

I downloaded the flash lite 3.1 distributable player cab file to my phone but all i get is a file called appzone or something. What am i supposed to do with this file because its not giving me flash support in browser?

FlashLite 3.1 Redistributable Questions

Hi,

I'm a beginner using FlashLite (have CS4 Flash Professional) and have been testing on my IPAQ 2495b (Windows Mobile 5).

(1) It appears that if I publish using FlashLite 3.1 player, that the only way the SWF can play on my IPAQ (which has a standalone 3.1 player) is if I package it into a CAB using the Adobe Mobile Packager. If I simply transfer the SWF via ActiveSync to the IPAQ, a message displays when I try to run it, saying it either lacks a trust certificate or missing components. However, the Adobe Mobile Packager CAB will allow the SWF to play without a certificate. I also tried creating a CAB with the SWF (but without the metafile or an icon) using a standard CAB pocketpc CAB packager. The SWF would not play: same message about no trust certificate or missing components (I had included the metadata file and icon).

(2) Regarding a code signing certificate: (if I were to buy one), I can't figure out how it would be used for the Adobe Mobile Packager. It appears that only Verisign is an available option (Mobile2Market button in the Mobile Packager), so for example, if I were to buy a certificate from another certificate authority, how would I use that CA's certificate in the Mobile Packager to create a signed CAB? (If I would purchase a certificate from a non-Verisgn CA, like Comodo, I would want it to successfully work to sign CAB's packaging FlashLite 3.1 SWF's.

(3) I think that the IPAQ 2495b (a PDA not a smartphone) is not a currently supported device. When I test a Mobile Packager created CAB with no 3.1 player on the IPAQ, it will not successfully download the player.

(4) Since a mobile version of player 10 (BETA) comes out in October, I am wondering if whatever solutions are now needed for the FlashLite 3.1 will be unnecessary for 10 mobile. Will FlashLite continue after mobile 10 is publically released? My understanding also is that while AS 2 is used for FlashLite, 10 mobile will use AS 3. Will 10 mobile be backwards compatible to AS 2 so that SWF's authored for FlashLite 3.1 can be preserved and used in 10 mobile, or will these need to be recoded from AS 2 to AS 3 to work?

Sorry for the number of questions, but, I believe clarification is important so development time, energy and resources are not wasted.

Any information, leads, suggestions would be appreciated.

Currently we support H.264 Video codec and G.711 voice codec and wanted to use the flash to allow callers to call into a conference call via SIP. Our conferencing app already has a media server that handles the H.264 codec.

What we need is an embeded frame in our application which will allow callers to initiate a call into the web conference then render the flash video / voice within the embeded app in our browser. What products do I need from Adobe to support this? Is there any licensing around this technology? I already have a media server than handles the G.264 Video codec and the G.711 voice codec. Do I need to buy another media server to handle the streaming flash?

Hi,

I installed the redistributable 3.1 player in my Nokia N95-8GB. Installation went correctly, but then i am a bit confused as i do not know where it has installed !

I still have the FlashPlayer utility (on my phone, this is in Application/Tools), but when i start it, the "Options/About Application" still shows a 3.0 revision, i was expecting 3.1 ...

Am i missing something ? Anything to un-install before ?

As there are new mobile phones so very often in the market, when will the next updated list be available. HTC has already shipped Touch Diamond 2, Touch Pro 2 and HD2. And these currently are not on the list and OTA is not working for these devices.

Mobile Packager file size

I have been creating Windows Mobile apps using Adobe Mobile Packager. Today I was uploading my cab file and it was taking forever. I realised that it was 53 MB! I tried to create different packages using different SWF files. All ended up being 53 MB including a SWF that was one frame and 1k. I tried reinstalling and everything still ends up being the same enormous size. Even previous successful packages with identical files now turn out to be 53 MB.

Hello

Can Adobe give us an estimation on when the Distributable player will be available for Nokia Touch devices (5800, N97, 5530 etc.)?

We are in the process of completing various touch-driven applications for Adobe/Nokia OSP, MTV and Nokia - and would really like to package these with the distributable player, the distributable player is working on older touch devices (HTC TYTN 2) by other manufacturers, so is there another reason for the hold-up with Nokia Touch?

I would like to know when will plugins like GPS/Communication/Accelerometer/File System Access/and so on
will be available along with the Flash Lite 3.1 Distributable Player, so we can build true mobile application with Flash on phones ?

There is Kunerilite for Flash Lite 3.0 on Symbian using SIS Installer (symbiansigned validation difficulty).
There is Janus-Flash for Flash Lite 2.1 on Windows Mobile using CAB Installer (need to manually install FL2.1).

When will we be able to use the GPS coordinates in Flash Lite 3.1 applications ?
As we are developing location-based content services, this feature is vital to us.

The “problem” is that I have more than 500 swfs that I want to pack using the Adobe Mobile Packager. And I am getting this error:

“Maximum number of application files exceeded or file names too long”

How could I solve this problem?

No touch screen functionality after packaging

Hi,

I made an application in Flash and published it in flash 3.0. Then packaged it with Adobe Mobile Packager and installed it on my phone (Nokia N97). The problem is that the touchscreen functionalities are not working. If I simply load the swf file from my memorycard then all the touch functionalities are working fine om my phone. What am i doing wrong?

I need a shortcut to the application on the homescreen, that's why i want it packaged.

How can I package applications greater than 1MB?

Everytime I try to package an application I get a warning that the Application size is greater than 1MB.

The actual warning is, "Application size is greater than 1MB. Package size may exceed operator limitations".

How can I create larger packages?

Hi,

I'm using Microsoft Windows XP Profesional SP3, english version

I installed all needed SDKs correctly (all was done like in tutorial movies)

I'm able to create Windows Mobile package and this package works correctly, but when i try to create Symbian60 package I always get message 'Error occured while packaging. Please check inputs and try again'. I tried to reinstall Symbian SDK and also Adobe mobile packager 1.1 but this not helps. I would like to ask if there is some log file craeted during packaging. I think that problem is somewhere in SymbianSDK but I can not find any log or any process file.

I want use AMP, however if I choose Self Signed option it drops an error message. Any clue how to resolve it?

If I test AMP configuration it shows every SDK working successfully.

OTA of Flash Lite Player doesn't work for HTC Touch Pro 2

When I tried to run a Flash Lite app in HTC Touch Pro 2, it asked for Flash Lite player to run it. I clicked Yes. It returned a message: Adobe Flash Lite is not available for this device. OTA installation didn't work in this case. I then manually installed the standalone player and it installed successfully. My operator is Telstra in Australia.
