Hi, I've got me a 4k pc screen and when I open up photoshop CC the tools and panels very small. Can I change the size of these?

I have an assignment making clipping paths for a ton of pictures. I used the pen tool to create a basic path for each one, saved them as PSDs and went on the the next one (each picture has its own file). I went back to retouch the paths and it won't let me make it a clipping path anymore. Help please?

I can't seem to find the correct serial number for the Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 I purchased last night at Office Max. Each number I think is correct comes back with an error code. I can't find anyone to help either on Adobe Help Lines, they send me online support and here I am.

I have a PNG logo and it keeps pixelating when i reduce the size.

Just installed cc6, and I want to run my Epson Perfection 6170 software from within PS. I could do it in CC5, but can't seem to get it done in CC6. I've downloaded the Epson program, but it doesn't seem to have a specific Epson plug in file. I just find the generic twain file in the plug in folder. Does anyone know what I need to do? I'm running Windows 7 32 bit..

I am getting this message when I try to open Photoshop CS6. But re-installation does not correct problem. "One or more files in the Adobe Application Support folder, necessary for running Photoshop, are missing. Please run the Photoshop Installer and re-install Photoshop" Has anyone had this problem and found a solution? Please help.

Recently upgraded to Yosemite

Running CC 2014

Periodically opens both jpg and pads and shows them all garbled.

Have to Quit completely and reopen to fix.

Usually will look something like this:

I have tried uninstalling and then reinstalling but it still will do it.

It won't do it ALL the time, but frequent enough where it's a pain the hiney...

Anyone else with this problem...?

HI! I have downloaded several actions before but this last time has been a disaster! Ive followed the troubleshoot instructions and no luck! I've moved the actions to the correct folders and still nothing shows up in my effects tab. In fact everything that was there, is now also gone. Photoshop crashing when printing

Hi- as of yesterday photoshop has been crashing when I go to print. It was working fine prior to changing over my ink cartridges and it worked after I changed the first two cartridges but then it started crashing. printing works on other applications. I've tried updating photoshop and updating the printer driver but to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Performance preferences - scratch disk will not keep my selection for scratch drive. It will go back to my main drive when I close and reopen photoshop cs6.

How can I fix this? Re-installing preferences makes no difference. do I need to re-install photoshop?

When I add an adjustment layer, it shows up in layers. However, I cannot actually use it (right from the beginning); e.g. cannot move the curves lines, levels arrows, hue slides, etc., etc.

I have PS 5.5 for Windows. I'm thinking of getting a MAC.

I am having issues in Photoshop CC 2014 with the healing/spot healing brush leaving lots of junk or splotching behind? I have tried the various modes (content aware vs. proximity) and varying the type of layer but continue having a hard time trying to make a simple repair on a flat surface. Finally I decided to step backwards to Photoshop CS5 as I never had this issue with the healing brush in that version. Upon the switch to CS5 the healing brush worked 5 times better. I am attaching 3 image examples for comparison. The CC version I added contrast and lightened the area to show the splotching effect more clearly.

I suddenly wasn't able to open my .jpeg, .jpg, .psd and .png files from Bridge CC. So I tried opening them directly from my PC files. They still wouldn't open. Photoshop opens in response to my double-click on the file, but the file itself doesn't open. I've updated both Bridge and Photoshop from 2014 to the Oct. 2014 version. I've rebooted countless times. I made sure the correct program is associated with the file extension. The files aren't locked or blocked. What am I missing? What's wrong?

We have been doing a lot of photoshop work recently in the office and have quickly run into a problem. Due to some poor communication on my part, two of us ended up working within the same photoshop file at the same time on separate computers. Unaware of this, both of us kept saving our work, every time overwriting the other persons work. After we discovered this hours of work was lost. My question is this: is there a way where multiple people can work within a single photoshop file without saving copies for each person to work within or is there a way to prevent someone from overwriting a .PSD file while it is open by another user?

Slow Photoshop Performance Using Type Tool

When I use the type tool, Photoshop performance slows considerably...like a minute for the cursor to return while the type tool is active. After I go to any other tool my performance is fine. I use Windows 7 and Photoshop CC. I don't have a clue as to where to begin to resolve this. Right now, I am doing my type work in Illustrator and bringing it into Photoshop as a smart object so I don't have to wait. Are there any suggestions out there?

Lately, whenever I've gone to save a file in Adobe Photoshop CS5, it is saved a PDF. Is there a setting I can change to revert it back to normal? For example, I go to save as a photo, but I get a dialog box afterward asking how I want to Format the PDF. If I hit cancel, the document doesn't save at all. I'm running Windows 7 if that helps.

Has anyone had difficulty with text size using Photoshop Elements 12? We purchased a Dell XPS-15 laptop with Photoshop pre-installed. When opening Photoshop, the text size on screen is so small it's almost illegible. Tried adjusting text size using control panel through Windows but no luck. Geek Squad at Best Buy says it's the software since we don't have text problems in any other software. Help!

Hey all,

I'm pretty new to photoshop. I've watched a ton of basic tutorials to understand what the use of the basic tools are, how to navigate around the interface, and how to perform basic tasks like cropping, understanding what layers do, masking, changing certain colors, etc.

The thing is, I don't necessarily have tons of ideas or projects that require me to use Photoshop, so I'm kind of running out of ideas of how to use the program.

In terms of how I use photoshop, I mainly want to use to make designs, logos, posters, etc. (versus editing actual photographs and what not)

I was wondering if any of you guys know of any online tutorials or books that "give" projects or tasks to complete, that get progressively more difficult and that use photoshop more for "design"?

I upgraded to Yosemite (OS X 10.10) and now PhotoShop CS5 will not run posting the message "An unexpected and unrecoverable problem occurred". Other programs in the CS5 suite run (DW, ID). Is it due to the Java plugin? I downloaded Javaplugin 8 but still PS wouldn't run. Thanks for suggestions.

Elements 12 will not recognize my Lexar USB 3.0 CF reader

I bought a Nikon D810. When I attempt to import photos via my Lexar USB 3.0 reader, I receive a message that the reader is not connected to my computer.However, if I format the CF card, and retake the picture, it will recognize and read the card. Then, I pull the card out of the reader, and shut down the computer. When I start up the computer again, and insert the card into the reader, Elements shows me a message that the reader is not connected. If I remove and re-format the card, it works again (until I shut down and restart the computer). I have update all drivers for the computer and for the reader. The computer ia only 9 months old., The card reader is 3 days old. The cf card is one week old. Anyone having a similar issue?
