Creating a new template

If I want to create a template for a new multiscreen responsive layout in RoboHelp 11 HTML 5, for example one that does not have a sidebar separating the TOC from the documentation, what basic changes should be made to the project environment? Is it just a matter of making changes to the CSS and JS files? If so, which ones? Pardon my ignorance.

Bizarre section URLs in Responsive Layout after upgrade to 11.0.3

The following problem has hit my RoboHelp after upgrading v11 to the latest patch 3:

When I generate a Responsive HTML5 layout, section URLs get weirdly formatted in a browser (tried both Firefox and Chrome). This does not seem to be project-specific, because the same problem happens when I generate even the standard out-of-the-box projects like Salesbuilder2 and EmployeeCare2.

Here is what happens:

For example, a link to:

file:///D:/!!!/EmployeeCare/Employee_Care/Introduction.htm

opens the following browser URL:

file:///D:/!!!/EmployeeCare/index.htm#t=Employee_Care%2FIntroduction.htm

or, say, a link to:

file:///D:/!!!/EmployeeCare/Employee_Care/HR_Policies/Attendance.htm

opens as:

file:///D:/!!!/EmployeeCare/index.htm#t=Employee_Care%2FHR_Policies%2FAttendance.htm

I hope the screenshot below illustrates what I mean:

The links still work, but I really like my URLs human-readable. When I roll back to the previous version of RH, the problem disappears. Any ideas what might be causing it?

I generate Responsible HTML5 outputs, that using template "Theme3_Black".

When I browse outputs with mobile Safari (iPhone 5S, iOS 8.1), i can't scroll through the content.

Is that bug?

RoboHelp 11 on a Windows 7 machine

I have a small project that I put down in August and just picked up again today. The only changes I made today were a background color in the selected layout and adding browsers to the screen profiles (desktop, mobile, phone). I also changed the pixel sizes of aforementioned screen profiles, and saved, but ultimately thought better of it and changed them back. I don't know if that would have made any difference to this problem. (When I made the size changes RH told me to update the media queries, but I'm not using any... or at least none came up in the Manage Media Queries functionality.)

Then I re-generated the output, but the tablet and phone screen sizes are no longer displaying properly when I tested by changing the size of my desktop browser--there is a rather large "dead zone" browser size in which no content is displayed at all (which makes it almost seem like the "responsive" part of the output doesn't work), the internal navigation (forward and back buttons, and bar) is shoved up in the header bar, and no browser horizontal scroll bar appears so that I can scroll to see the edge of wide images. I mainly use IE but this occurred in Firefox and Chrome as well. The desktop display seems to work fine. (I'm so sorry I don't have screenshots now--I can provide some if needed.)

I wondered if this had something to do with my chosen "template" but a brand new project that used that same one (Theme1_Standard) didn't have any problems. Now, I also noticed that the template seems to have changed since I was last in Robohelp, because the unchanged template preview today was definitely not the same as the template from August. The Readme for the latest patch didn't mention anything that I thought seemed to be related.

Like I said, all I changed were a color, the screen profile browsers, and the screen profile sizes which I later discarded. I am completely at a loss as to what caused this and how to fix it. I feel like a complete dolt because it seems to be related to something I *DID* but retracing my steps has yielded nothing.

UPDATE

Still having this issue, but in poking around I discovered that some of the program files on my local machine were updated in mid-September (when it looks like the latest patch's ReadMe file was installed on my computer) and others were updated mid-October (the first time I was in RH since mid-August, though I didn't generate anything then). I don't know if this means anything, but to me it looks mildly suspicious. Thx.

Button Sizes

RH11 | WebHelp

Does anyone know how to change the button sizes for the images used in the Function bar and Sidebar? The Layout Customisation screen states the images must be a certain size (e.g. 30x22 pixels) but I want to use my own sized buttons which are 84x42 pixels. I also want to remove the padding around the buttons. I've had a look in main.css, but I can't find anywhere that controls this. It must be "baked" into the responsive layout somewhere.

Disappearing screen elements in Responsive HTML 5 output

I recently installed the update to RoboHelp HTML 11, which was supposed to fix a lot of problems with Responsive HTML 5 output issues. However, a new issue has just cropped up out of nowhere and I have no idea why it's happening.

When I generate Responsive HTML 5 output for my help system, the following items are missing from the screen in the browser:

- The vertical separator bar that separates the TOC from the help content window

- All the "hover" buttons (the dark versions of the TOC, Search, Glossary, Home, and Print buttons that appear when you hover over them or when that page is selected)

Also, the Show/Hide button is visible (even though the separator bar is not), but it does not function at all.

The output was generating just fine, with no such problems, until just a couple of days ago. This struck out of nowhere. Does anyone have a clue what is causing this or how to fix it?

Next and Back navigation buttons have disappeared

My Next and Back navigation arrows have inexplicably disappeared from the Responsive Layout in RoboHelp 11 HTML. I found many nav bar-related topics on these forums, but could not find one that was similar to this issue I am experiencing. I'm not sure what I may have done, as it seems like this could only be the result of manually or purposefully removing them.

why is the tab functionality not working in Responsive layout? I need accessibility for non-mouse users.

I have generated Responsive HTML5 output. The tab key does not do anything. I want users to be able to tab through the topics and expand or collapse the drop-down hotspots. Tab appears to do nothing. If I generate the same content in WebHelp output users can tab between topics and expand/collapse drop-down hotspots. Is there some sort of setting I have to select to get it to work in Responsive HTML5?

SSL: Multiscreen HTML5 - Desktop screen profile only

IE version: 9

Is there a built-in widget/thing to add a button to a topic to hide the search highlighting? To be clear, I want the search highlight on, but I want users to be able to turn it off once they have found the topic they need. I've done a little searching in the help and online, so I suspect there isn't, but want to make sure.

If there isn't a built-in function, does anyone know if there is a way to add my own button/javascript? I can read other's code and do a little bit of scripting, but only really basic stuff.

Printing responsive layouts in Internet Explorer

When printing a responsive layout from RoboHelp 11.0.3 in Internet Explorer 11 the PDF just shows the title, first line or two and scroll bars, see image. The pages print normally from both Chrome and Firefox. We have checked and this seems to occur with a brand new project straight out of the box.

Any ideas how to get round this would be great appreciated.

TOC button hidden when viewing responsive output in IE

Hello there,

When I view responsive HTML5 output in Internet Explorer, the image that is used for the selected sidebar button (typically the TOC) is initially hidden behind the background color.

As soon as I mouseover the button, the image appears and everything works fine.

The problem does not occur in Firefox or Chrome. It also doesn't affect the buttons in the tablet/mobile modes, only the sidebar when viewing on the desktop.

I'm using a modified layout that is based on the Theme_1_Standard layout. However, the problem also occurs when using the default Theme_1_Standard or Theme_3_Black responsive layouts in a completely new project.

Any ideas?

RH Version: 11.0.3.268

RoboHelp crashes when I try to edit a responsive html 5 layout page

If I right click on one of the screen layout pages in the Screen Layouts section of the Project Set-up area RoboHelp crashes. If I create a new one the editor opens, but RoboHelp crashes as soon as I try edit it. I can manually edit the slp files in a text editor but this isn't particularly easy!

I have RoboHelp 11.0.3.268. I have tried creating an entirely new project and the same thing happens. I am working locally on my desktop, publishing to a server. I have not yet added any source control to the project.

Any suggestions would be very welcome.

TOC has died in the responsive HTML5 output, it's available in smaller views, but not in full screen. This happened out of the blue with no tinkering to the TOC. Please Help! Thanks...

Basically get a Loading... prompt and nothing is happening. I'm near the end of a sprint and don't have the time to figure out what went wrong. Hoping someone can help...

However it's fine in other views (smartphone/ tablet etc...)

Changing the font of TOC entries in Responsive Help

I'm just starting to find my way with Responsive help and am creating a project where a non-standard font needs to be used. This is fine in topics - I provide a link to the font in every page and it works great. But try as I might, I can't fathom how to change the font of entries within the table of contents.

Bumbling about so far, I've found the Table of Contents.slp file and put the same link to the font in the header there (<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=PT+Sans" />) - I then customised my layout to specify the font name (PT Sans) for the TOC Desktop, but this seems to have no effect at all: when I generate the help, the TOC renders in what looks to be a default Times font.

I'm really just guessing at this stage so if anyone can point me in a slightly more considered direction, I'd be really grateful!

HELP!!! Cannot edit screen layout.....Layout has been corrupted, and causes RH10 to shut down when I try to edit it. The published layout has changed as well, with pictures enlarged and interfering with the body text.

Generating either Multiscreen or Responsive HTML5 from command line (RHCL)

Has anyone had any luck getting either of the HTML5 default layouts to generate using RHCL.exe with RoboHTML 11? We try to keep the source files checked in, then generate the output at build time.

To test, I generated a project based off the "Knowledge Base" template, then updated the the associated screen layouts with the screen profiles. For Responsive HTML5, that was "Theme1_Standard", and for Multiscreen HTML5, that was "Desktop_Knowledge". Both of these layouts generate fine through the RoboHTML UI, but when generated from the command line, they fail. With Responsive HTML5, RHCL does not acknowledge that the layout exists. For Multiscreen HTML5, RHCL crashes (null reference exception) when processing the project's index. (Keep in mind that I haven't modified the index from the template at this point).

I'd be happy with either of these two layouts working with RHCL, as we're still fairly early in the process of creating the online help. Our only requirement is that it is web-based and cannot use frames (like WebHelp layout does).

RH 11: how to stop index from re-loading after an index term is selected?

I am using the Responsive HTML5 layout in Robohelp 11. When using the Index search, the index re-loads after a user selects an index term. This deletes the search term just entered and refreshes the index back to it's default (starting at 'A'). My users have complained about this change from RH 9 Webhelp, because if they accidentally click the wrong term, they have to re-enter their search term. In RH 9 Webhelp, the search term just entered would stay in the index search field after a term was clicked, so that a user could easily click an adjacent term if they mis-clicked.

Is there a way to stop the index from re-loading/refreshing after an index term is clicked in Responsive HTML5?

problem with displaying index in RH11

Hi,

I’m using RH11 to make Responsive HTML5 output in 4 different help projects, with the Theme2-_Government layout (in Dutch and French).

All projects start correctly with the TOC pane open and the whole indexfile displayed. Even my first indexsearch is OK.

However, no respons with the second index search, because the program keeps loading, and loading… the index-entrys.

All 4 projects have the same problem.

What's going on? Thanks for your help!

Tabbed Panel Widget

I have a horizontal tabbed panel, but on the screen layout editor, there's a horizontal grey box and the tabs go vertical and disappear. They're there in the html, but I can't edit them with the WYSIWYG.

I want to add another tab to the widget, besides the defaults...How do I do this?

Title bar in multiscreen HTML 5 SSL output is appearing as a blue visited link and should not

We upgraded from RoboHelp 9 to RoboHelp 11. The title bar in multiscreen HTML 5 SSL output is appearing as a blue visited link and should not. I cleared the cache and it's still there on all the topics. In Chrome, I highlighted the title bar in the Multiscreen HTML5 output, right clicked, and selected Inspect Element. This is the code:

<a href="../Welcome/Welcome_to_Track-It_Technician_Client.htm" class="homelink">. The "homelink" class did not appear in our previous RH 9 WebHelp.

I see the homelink in the main.css stylesheet,but I don't see where I can change the color of the visited link. The title should remain white on a dark blue background.

It's nice to be able to click the title and get back to the home page, but it's not necessary. And the blue on blue in the title bar is illegible.

I used the "Theme1_Standard" Responsive layout with some customizations. I decreased the font size of title and decreased the line height of the headertable.

The default screen profile is Desktop.

Does anyone know how I can fix this?

I am using Robohelp 10. What is the best way to add an option for the user to provide feedback from each topic? I would like it to send it via email from the web server that the helpfile is hosted on. How can I go about achieving this?

Remove Page Title from Search Results Context

Hey guys,

I am working with the multiscreen HTML5 output.

On each of my topic pages, I use the Robohelp widget to include the topic title. This works nicely enough.

However, in the search results, this topic title gets put through as part of the text preview, so for each search rersult, I end up with:

Is there a way to stop this from happening, so I can get this:

MasterThemeSchema.xml file has invalid data error when customizing layout

Whenever I try to customize my layout for Responsive HTML5 I get an error "MasterThemeSchema.xml file has invalid data". I've tried creating new layouts and editing existing layouts. The first time I click Customize Selected Layout it works. But any attempt after that produces the error. Anyone know what's going on? Thanks.

RH 11 Glossary not displaying in desktop view

I am on Windows 8, 64-bit, RoboHelp 11 (standalone). I've created a project and created some glossary terms. I've selected the glossary in the Single Source Layout and generated the project. When I view the project, I can view the glossary in Mobile and Tablet form, but the desktop view displays nothing when the Glossary link is selected. I am using the Theme2_Government responsive layout template. Any ideas I can use to troubleshoot this issue?

8/8/2014 - I'd like to add that the Index has the same issue. I've checked for updates; ensured that I am assigning the correct item etc.

Multiscreen HTML5 Map ID file: loadcsh.js - rhmapno parameter is converted to uppercase and CSH not working

Our developer is reporting that RoboHelp 11 is converting the parameter rhmapno to uppercase RHMAPNO in the loadcsh.js Multiscreen HTML5 output file, and the CSH is not working (see below from the file).

Is anyone else having this problem and can suggest a solution?

How to move a logo to the right side of the header and resize the image box - Customized Responsive HTML 5 Layout - RoboHelp 11

I created a customized HTML 5 Layout based on the Theme1_Standard layout. Our logo is rectangular and will not fit in the default image box. I want to move the logo to the right side of the header. I don't see how to do this in the Layout Customization dialog. Is there a way to do this in the html code somehow? By the way, the logo looks great in the desktop and table Preview from the Layout Customization dialog. It is the correct size and the header title adjusts to the right so that there's enough space for the rectangular logo. However, in the phone preview, the logo is tiny. And when I generate the Responsive HTML5 single source layout with the new theme, the logo is tiny in the Chrome preview, even for desktop.

TOC links in Responsive HTML5 layouts are inaccurate with merged projects

I am having two separate, but similar issues with merged projects in tablet/mobile view and am wondering if I have set them up incorrectly. The most perplexing thing is that everything works perfectly fine in desktop view.

First off, I am using RH11 with all updates applied on a Windows 7 machine and I have a master project set up with about 2 dozen child projects stored under the Responsive_HTML5/mergedProjects folder.

Issue #1:

Upon first opening up the help system in mobile view, I can navigate to any topic in the TOC except the first topic (an introduction topic) in any of my child projects. When I hover over the topic in the TOC, I can see the link at the bottom of my browser and RoboHelp is always truncating the link destination to "Responsive_HTML5/Introduction.htm" when it should be using "Responsive_HTML5/mergedProjects/<child project name>/Introduction.htm" instead.

Issue #2:

Again in mobile view, let's say I am looking at a topic in guide A. Now I want to look at a topic in guide B, so I open the TOC and navigate to the other guide. However, when I hover over the topic links in the TOC, all links still point to guide A's folder. In other words, while I am looking at guide B in the TOC and I hover over a topic in the TOC, the link says "...mergedProjects/guide A/TopicFromGuideB.htm". I have discovered that if I click on a book then the TOC refreshes and will display the subsequent topics, but I am still unable to open any other topic since it keeps looking in guide A's folder.

Has anyone else encountered these problems with their TOCs? Is there a more optimal way to set up my projects in order for RoboHelp to not change my link destinations?

Logo behavior in responsive layout

I'd like to replace the diamond logo in the Theme 1 default responsive layout in RH11 with an appropriately sized logo for my client. In the default layout, the logo retains its size relative to any text in the title bar as the browser is resized, and the logo disappears completely at the smaller smartphone size. When I use a different logo, or even modify the diamond logo, it is very small and gets even smaller at the smaller layout sizes. What is the secret to preventing the logo from resizing? Where in the .css is this controlled?

Search box shape/size customisation

I noticed that the default style of the search box has rounded corners. I want a slightly different shape for the search box. Is there a way to do this in RoboHelp HTML 11?

TOC logo formatting

I'm using RoboHelp HTML 11.

The responsive layout editor does not seem to give me control over where to put a company logo. Is the extreme top left corner the only place it can go? Suppose I want to left-indent the logo by 50px. Any way to do this, or is editing the CSS sheet the only way?

Deleting unwanted images

In RoboHelp HTML 11, I have no need for the Print image. It looks like I can't delete or disable this image in the Reponsive Layout Editor. I feel like this image is being force-fed down my project's throat. Even if I delete the image file itself, a placeholder will appear with a red X in the preview. Any way to remove this and its trace completely?

How to add left and right margins in Topic?

I am using RH10, as part of TCS4. I am creating screen layouts by just modifying the existing ones.

I noticed that there is no margin/ space between the topic border and the topic content in it. When I searched for that in mobile.css, I did not find any relevant reference. When I did a Inspect Element on Firefox, it pointed to default.css which I don't find in my Project Setup pod.

How can I modify it? Here is the screenshot of the issue I am referring to:

MP4 (h264) to play on an iPad?

So I cant get a RH Responsive HTML5 project to play an MP4 on an ipad? but works fine on a pc (tested 3 w/browsers).
Outside the published project, the iPad plays Mp4's without any problems.
But within a RH Responsive HTML5 project on the ipad, the MP4 shows up as a black square with a "crossed out" play button in the middle.
on any pc the published RH project, plays fine.

I've tried several different mp4's (h264) ,,, I've even multiple sizes of MP4s.

Am I missing something?

Why is there an echo when multimedia files (mp4) inserted in my online help are played in FireFox? Should I be using a different video file format?

I am generating Responsive HTML5 using RoboHelp 11. My FireFox version is 31.

The video plays fine in IE and Chrome.

html 5 layout in RH11 automatically adds a to the top arrow. How to modify that?

This might be a very basic question. I'm reviewing the html 5 output in Robohelp 11 and I noticed that the html 5 layout automatically adds a to the top arrow.

I want to adjust that arrow/Div but how do I reach that?

I don't seem to see it in the layout editor. And it only show up after generating a layout, and I don;t want to adjust all pages of our help manually.

What we actually are trying to do is dynamically let it appear when you scroll down. and not on the screens where there is no scrolling.

any ideas?

Why am I getting extra home pages?

Today I discovered that in our context sensitive help, which I general with Robohelp 10, all the links that are meant to redirect to the help's homepage in the desktop layout instead generated an error page.

I contacted the developers, and they said that the system was redirecting to the wrong page: homepage2.htm, instead of homepage.htm, and this had been the case for the past several versions.

I provided them with the correct file name: homepage.htm

However, I am still baffled. Why is Robohelp generating extra homepage files?

I restored a previous version, and generated the help. I only received one homepage file.

When I generate the current version, I receive homepage.htm and homepage1.htm.

And apparently, in previous versions there was also homepage2.htm

Why am I getting these extra files. Are they important? And if not can I delete them?

I want to create a new customized screen layout for responsive HTML5 output. I don't want to use the ones present in the gallery. What are the steps to do so?

I don't wish to use the ones already present in the gallery. They do not meet my requirements. Therefore, I want to create/design my own screen layout for the responsive HTML5 output. Please let me know the steps to do so. How to create a SLZ file, what is the code that I need to write. What are the components that I need to create to have a complete screen layout to be used in a responsive HTML5 output.

Issue with titles in Multiscreen HTML5

I am using RH10, as part of the TCS4.

I am currently creating/ customizing screen layouts Android phone, Android Tablet, and Desktop for use in our team.

Generally, our course titles are a bit long. Obviously, this won't look good in phone and tablet layouts. As a workaround, we are thinking of having different course titles for each layout (basically, a shorter version). Please suggest the best and easiest way to do that? As far as possible, I am looking for some solution where my users should change the name in one place, say a variable, and it is reflected in all pages of a particular layout. For example, I will give them a variable Phone_Course Title. They need to enter the value there and it is updated in all pages of the Android Phone layout.

But I don't see a way to do it using User Defined Variables or Fields.

Since many of our users are new to RH, I don't want them to fiddle around too many things here. Of course, that would also mean less issues to tackle for me.

If this is not possible, is there a way I can set the placeholder to "Shrink to Fit" so that irrespective of the text length, the placeholder adjusts the font size to accommodate the text?

Keep TOC books expanded?

RH 11: Multiscreen desktop layout

I am generating desktop layout (only) in my Multiscreen SSL. Our users are only going to view our help from a PC and we’ve got auto-collapsing TOC books that are driving everyone mad. Can anyone please help?

Here is the behavior we’re seeing:

Open books and sub books (result: books are open).
Click a topic in a sub-book (result: books stay open).
Open a new book and sub-book (result: new books and old books are open)
Click a topic in the new sub-book (result: old books close). Gah!

At step 4, we want all the books to say open.

I am using a desktop layout based on the default “Desktop_Layout” shipped with RH that I have adjusted slightly for colour and branding.

This uses the TOC widget with a class="wTOCTree" and widgettype="toctree".

Reading WvanWeelden’s site (http://www.wvanweelden.eu/blog/2012/12/20/starting-html5-layouts-robohelp-getting-know-wid gets), he explains the behavior of the two TOC widget types:

TOC tree - Default table of contents that presents a tree view. Perfect for desktop.
TOC expanding node - The table of contents that shows you only one level at the same time. Clicking a book will take you to the next level. Perfect for mobile devices.

Although I have the TOC tree type specified, I think I am getting the TOC expanding node behavior.

I should mention, I have only viewed the output locally so far - haven't been able to get it on a webserver yet.

Can anyone advise?

Missing MasterThemeSchema.xml in Multiscreen HTML5 layouts

I'm running RH11 with all updates applied on a Windows 7 machine and have encountered some problems with modifying the look of the Multiscreen HTML5 screen layouts.

I am working in an existing project and would like to switch to a Multiscreen HTML5 layout for. However, whenever I try to edit any of the stock Multiscreen HTML5 layouts that ship with RH11, I get an error stating that the MasterThemeSchema.xml file cannot be found and that it "is required for layout customization and validation". I have tried re-downloading the screen layouts available on the Adobe website (used the two Desktop_Knowledge screen layouts with/without the home button for this test), but after importing them into my project the same MasterThemeSchema.xml not found error appears.

Is there a way to get RoboHelp re-create this file for the Multiscreen HTML5 layouts? Or any other suggestions I can try?

I'm not sure if this makes a difference in finding a solution, but here is some other info about my project:

- I am able to generate Multiscreen HTML5 output using the screen layouts with no issues (they just have the default look and feel as shown in the preview when on the New Screen Layout dialog).

- I can import/export the Multiscreen layouts okay, but I still cannot edit them.

- My project originally used a Responsive HTML5 screen layout, which I can still edit on the Layout Customization screen with no problems.

RH11: Index Page Not Displaying TOC

I've searched and not found any other results with this particular issue.

When I publish my files in a Responsive Layout I have the following set:

Output Folder and Start Page (went back to using Index but generally have a unique name for the start page)

Default topic was selected using the SELECT button

Table of Contents is identified

When I Publish, that start page does not display the TOC. I have to select CONTENTS button/link to display the TOC. Previously, my files would display the TOC with the Start Page.

Additional Note: When I select another page, the content moves to that new page, but the TOC disappears again and I have to select the CONTENTS button again to view the TOC.

What setting am I missing? I've searched Help, I've searched the community as I am sure there is a simple setting for this that I am missing and found nothing that addresses this. I do see the TOC once I select the Contents link/button on the page and can navigate, so it's working, just not displaying by default with the start page.

UPDATE. I started resolving broken links and when I recently generated and viewed, the TOC shows up. However, not all of my broken links are resolved yet. I am not sure what the relationship was, but I"m happy it is resolved.

RoboHelp 11 - Template headers and footers all of a sudden display in my topics

I am not sure how to describe this as I am not sure what the trigger was to cause this, but here it goes:

First of all--I was transitioned from a Virtual Machine to a Desktop to gain better results from using my Adobe applications and reduce issues.

I am on Windows 8, 8 GB RAM, AMD Radeon Card with 4GB vRAM.

I loaded RoboHelp 11 and my Creative Cloud applications onto the desktop machine and moved my files over the desktop from a server drive.

I have been working for a couple of days in RoboHelp and "Published" last night. That crashed and I realized I needed to remap the drives. The server drive wouldn't remap so that publish crashed a second time, but the local publish to my desktop C: drive indicated it had been successful. I didn't reopen the files at the time as it was end of day last night.

I went home.

I came back this morning and when I opened RoboHelp and my project, all the topics had the project title preceding the topic title in Project Manager AND every single topic now has the template headers and footers displaying in the topic.

Additional Details--the Master Page is the same and has been unchanged in all of this and is applied to each of the files. I haven't found any issues with the Master Page.

I am not sure if this helps, but this is a script error I keep getting if I try to view a topic out of RoboHelp (see below for the main issues that I am encountering).

I REALLY need to fix this ASAP as I don't want to have to recreate the whole project of over 300 topics (so far).

What did I break? Or what piece to I need to reconnect to fix this?

Responsive HTML5 with mergedprojects, created a hyperlink from an html file in the parent project to a child html file and it is not working! The child shows up in the parent TOC, but need to link. Please help!

Hi group!

I have a glossy parent project that serves as a launch pad to other projects. Users click on a software component they want and are taken to a page with a list of all the documentation available for that component. Click on the name of a document and it accesses it - lots of PDFs. HOWEVER I would also like for them to be able to link to the online help for the component. Having read up on linking across/between projects, I knew I needed to create a parent project ( for the glossy intro and links page) and children projects (for the software components).

I created a parent responsive HTML5 project and two children projects. I compiled the parent to create the mergedprojects folders, then open the children projects and compiled them into the appropriate mergedprojects folder. I then created a hyperlink from the documentation list html file in the parent project to the child software component html file (Output folder and start page [which is the same as the default topic]) and the link is not working! The child and its TOC shows up in the parent TOC so the topics are there, but I cannot link to them. If needed, I can send screen shots.

Where I am dorking this up?!?!
