how to show, but not give the possibility to download?

Hello,

I registered today to use adobe send and I made some test.

My only problem right now: is it possible that my correspondants can see the pdf I'm sending them, but are not able tot download it?

For my this is important: I will give people the possibility to view my files, but not to be able to download and send them to others.

I have a file containing photo images, video and music files which have been mixed together using Corel Video Studio Pro X6 to form a "movie".

There are 18 separate chapters within the folder file, with the total file size being just under 17GB saved in mp4 format.

I now wish to share this "movie" file with recipients around the world (fellow travellers), and would like to know if Adobe Send is suitable, and if so, would I be able to send the entire file in one, or would I need to send the smaller individual files in blocks.??

Hi All, I need a product that my team mates and I can use to receive client files for testing purposes. These are generally PDF but could be natives and may have to be zipped or compressed? Apart from ftp ans ideas? Would Send work for us??

What is the biggest file size for AdobeSend - can't seem to find any information on this. AdobeSendNow had a limit of 2 GB.

With AdobeSendNow, we used to be able to control how long the link is valid for to recipients - what about AdobeSend?

Will an address book be available for the AdobeSend like it did for Adobe SendNow?

When I revise a document that is stored in the Acrobat cloud storage and that has already been shared with others, will they receive an email notification that the document has changed? Or do I need to re-share the document with them?

I kept getting subscription renewal notices and now a subscription expired notification. Thank you for the reminder but there has obviously been a mistske made. Back in September I went to use my account and it said I needed to join in order to do so. Unaware of my subscription status and being in a hurry, I just went ahead and paid for another year. By your account, I should have had an active subscription and not had to join again. My latest subscription order confirmation number is AD014156727 and expires 27 Sep 2015. My financial institution has already been billed. My previous Order Number was AD009732976. This order was confirmed on 6 Oct 2013 (now that I've researched it) so my subscription should have been good on and before that date of this year. Basically a moot point now since I already renewed. Please remove the payment reminder and update my account status.

the NEW Adobe Send doesn't retain e-mail addresses after I put them in once. I have to re type them every time I send an e-mail.

Hi,

I've been a long time SendNow customer, back when it was a paid monthly service. with the exception of the file coming up before the content of the message (thank you for fixing that little quirk in the Outlook Send plugin) I LOVED SendNow for Outlook.

From Outlook I could

1) Dictate how long someone could download the file for (default 15 days)

2) Get notification of when the file was downloaded

3) Get blatantly asked if I wanted to send via outlook or sendnow any attached files.

With Send

1) I can't seem to locate this option or if it's even there

2) This can't happen because by default Send for Outlook appears to all be public files, so the only way I can follow up on this is to log into Send online, which defeats the purpose of keeping it contained in Outlook.

3) Subtly asks if I want to send with Send (little yes/no below the attachment line). I hate to think if I'm pushing a 10+MB file and forget to click that little thing. I can't even set it as a default option.

I feel in order to move everything to Adobe Acrobat online Adobe has neglected a great deal of what made this service so great in the past, a service I was gladly and willingly spending much more than is offered now.

It was rough waiting for the plugin to release, now that it has I'm greatly disappointed as it's apparent functionality that I loved is now gone, with the only barely redeeming feature is not confusing my clients when I send stuff with the download link first well above the content of my message.

I would like to know if Adobe plans to address any of these issues with a (hopefully) soon patch of Send for Outlook.

Hi, have just upgraded to Adobe Send from the previous free subscription.

Now it is very very slow to receive email link and then when it eventually came through, none of the recipients were able to view the file from the email link. Just get blank white page. I've also tested it by sending to myself and a colleague. Same problem. How do I fix this please?

Preview problems

In the past day or two I have had complaints from recipients of files I've distributed via AdobeSend that they can no longer see the document preview when they click on the link in the notification email.

I've just sent a file to myself to test this out. The file uploaded okay and I got a notification email to tell me it was there. When I click either the "View File" button or the link a new window opens and then goes to a blank instead of displaying a preview of the document.

Only a few days ago everything was fine and I'm just wondering if the Adobe server problem yesterday has a bearing?

I just purchased Adobe Send today. Tried to upload a file 58 MB. Keep getting an error has occurred. No mention of what the error is. I've tried 5 times. Very frustrating. If there is no solution, I want a refund.

Hi just wondering how your pdf sharing works with mobile devices, in particular, when viewing with a mobile browser after clicking an adobe send link...

such as what happens if the mobile device has a mobile pdf reader installed...or doesn't have one installed....can the file contents be seen either way?

Is the page mobile responsive?

Are there any known browser limitations (safari vs. andorid stock, vs chrome, vs. firefox) etc. ?

Is the mobile device prompted to download a pdf reader or are there any similar distraction?

Will mobile browsing viewing reformat text?

I have been a SendNow customer for several month and find it quick and easy to use. The fact that it is still available saved me this morning. I had to send a client 40 PDFs totaling @ 100 megs. Initially Adobe Send would not upload the PDFs giving "Error 404" messages. On the second try it said it had uploaded the files, then froze up with the gray screen. Same thing on the third try. On the fourth try it apparently uploaded the files and said they were sent but the client never got them. Of course on each try I had to re-insert all the files from various locations and re-type the message to the client.

I finally gave up and went back to SendNow and the same files were out of here and to the client within a few minutes. Adobe must know this thing is not working properly. If it is not fixed by the November 18 cutoff date for SendNow I fear I will have to take my business elsewhere. Does anyone know if Adobe has a support phone number?

i downloaded photoshop for a tutorial lessen but found i didn't need it. As far as i am aware i didn't sign up for a subscription with any of the Adobe services. and i didn't give my bank details out so i hope money hasn't been going out of my account. when i have had to use adobe to read pages that has been sent to me and had to download it, it all way gave me a virus. i may have looked at the services a while back but when it asked for money i deleted it. i hope you can resolve this matter. thank you.

Can't view videos on iPad when downloaded from Adobe Send

Recently started using Adobe Send and upgraded to a full account as I needed to send a video file along with a couple of PDFs.

When I click on the generated Adobe Send link on a desktop computer or a laptop I can download all of the files (PDF & Video) and view them easily. However, if I click on the link on my iPad, i get taken to the same web page as on my desktop PC and can see the 3 files. The PDF files download fine and open up with the added option of viewing in iBooks.

However, when i click on the download link for the video I get a blank page with what looks like a PLAY arrow button and the word loading. The video never does load and I left it at that 'loading' screen for 2 hours just in case it was an incredibly slow download.

Anyone else getting this problem or know how I can fix it?

The video file is an MP4 encoded as H264 which should be fine.

I am a satisfied SendNow subscription user and have attempted to send the same files using Send with no success. The files I am sending are zip files in the 10 to 80 MB size range. I am uploading the files via IE8 (corporate environment with no ability to personnally upgrade to newer browser). Although I am thouroughly satisfied with my SendNow subscription, I am unable to successfully upload the same files using Send. They appear to upload, the thingy goes around, but I never recieve a massage that the upload is successful, do not recieve email notification that the file was sent and no email is recieved with a link to download the file.

Now it appears my time is running out to continue to use SendNow and if these issues that I am experiencing (and obviously many others judging from your forum) are not resolved I will be forced to cancel my subscription and use another file transfer service.

When sending a pdf file, it downloads to the end, but then I get a messsage that there was a error and need to resend.

I just re-upped with this service (I was with Adobe Send-Now). Anyway, I am trying to send a file. I can upload it and when I click to send, it takes me for a page asking if it is a private or personal link and then asks for an email address to send it to, along with a title for the email and a short note for the email. At the bottom all I get is a cancel button. No send button. Please help. I need to send now!

When is the Adobe Send problem with uploading files going to get fixed. Similar to others - I have tried and tried to make Adobe Send work and get an error. I have tried to upload the file and it looks like it uploads and then - it is nowhere to be found.

I then go to Adobe Send Now and it works fine.

Getting file upload error message at the end of every upload on Mac OSX 10.6.8 and Firefox 32.0.1 and failed upload. Any suggestions on what might be causing this?

I love this new transmit product however text messages are important to accompany the files sent with detailed information.

Is there a way to enlarge the message text it is very hard to see in grey and very small in the file send section..

Hi - I'm a subscriber to the paid service of Adobe SendNow, and I like that I can brand my email notices to clients to download files. I've just looking at the new Adobe Send option (because SendNow is being pulled), but I can't see a branding option. Please advise if there is one? or is this feature lost? I used "Adobe Send" to send a document to about 75 individual recipients. Two of the recipients were me at different email addresses. At one email address, I received the document "from" my own name. At the other email address, I received the document "from Unknown Sender." How can I make sure my identity displays in the "from" field for recipients? I'm concerned that many of these emails ended up in recipients' spam folders.
