How to add video's control bar?

Today, I've searched 24 pages here for related discussion but no solution was found.

These pictures I listed here were created by other people.

I want to know how to add a control bar below the video? Is it to use the Insert->Video button of Adobe Presenter (0002.jpg), or use the Insert->video button of PowerPoint (0003.jpg)? When I insert a video (in .flv format), it shows like a white box in the original PPT (see 0004.jpg), looks different from the existing 0001.jpg.

And after I published this PPT (with the white box-like video) locally, when this video slide loads, that video plays immediately, but I want pause/stop function.

I also noticed if I try to import a video in .m4v (MP4 Video), PowerPoint says QuickTime is required.

I used to insert video in year 2010, but I forget the details. Maybe at that time I inserted a video with pause/stop function, but I forget.

Or, is it because a specific video format would naturally show the control button?

0001.jpg

0002.jpg

0003.jpg

0004.jpg

Uploading a Powerpoint with embedded videos to a Connect Meeting to work on desktop and mobile; has anyone done this?

I would like to upload a Powerpoint file with embedded videos to work on both desktop and mobile clients in a Connect Meeting. Has anyone managed to do this with Presenter 10 because you cannot do this by uploading to a Connect Meeting directly. Adobe tell me that I need to buy Presenter 10.

The problem I find, apart from some really irritating permission errors with Presenter 10 that often means the project fails to be published to Connect, is that the desktop version of Connect uses Flash and does not support HTML5. The mobile client does not support MP4(!). You have to use FLV video to work in both, but Powerpoint does not support this. Also Media Encoder 2014 does not support FLV so you have to use an earlier version.

So unless I am missing something the only way to get video to work on both platforms is to remove it from the PPT/PPTX, convert to FLV and then add the FLVs to a separate pod. This is a major and time consuming endeavour and is becoming a significant problem for me.

Any advice would be appreciated.

TIA

Adobe Presenter 10 - Windows - Slides not auto advancing?

Hello,

I am having a lot of trouble getting my slides to auto advance. When I preview the presentation within PowerPoint (Adobe Presenter tab, Preview, Preview Presentation), everything looks fine, but when I publish and preview in the browser, the first slide auto plays, but then the following slides do not. I've tried changing just about every setting regarding slide behavior that I can think of and have included screenshots of the screens I've made changes with. I'd appreciate any and all suggestions!

Thank you!

-Monica

Slideshow - I've tried turning on and off "play narrations" and "use timings"

Adobe Presenter Settings: Default slide duration was 5 seconds - I've tried with that or 0.

Transitions - I've tried turning on and off "on mouse click"

Slide Manager Settings: I've checked to make sure Advance by User is 'No' and Lock Slide is 'No'.

Unfortunately I am having quite a few issues with it.

I am using it to make presentations built up of imported video files, as I had been doing before with Presenter 7 without any issue. I typically have a presentation of 6 parts and import each video file ~80MB Mp4 into a single slide then name each slide adding a presenter and output it to an 'swf' file. This worked fine in Presenter 7.0.7. Now my issue is that the output will load the player it will have the correct presenter, and timings on the chaptered sidebar but when it plays the presentation area of the screen is just white, there's no audio, no video just the correct time for each section. I've checked the output folder the individual video files will play within windows media player without issue.

It should be noted that the html5 only version works fine, until uploaded to a web server and then it will not load any of the player with IE11 (I can't test it in other browsers).

I would appreciate some help with this if anyone has any ideas to fix this.

Many thanks

Can you embed output from an Engage '13 Presentation into Adobe Presenter '09? We used to be able to do this with Engage '09 and Adobe Presenter '09. I found an article about embedding Engage '13 as a web object but can't see that I can do that in Adobe Presenter '09. Any advice is appreciated.

Thank you,

Susan

When publishing in any of the format options (SWF, HTML 5 or both) I get an error message halfway through: Adobe Presenter is unable to publish this presentation. Pleae check that there is enough disk space and you have appropriate permissions for the destination folder.
2. When previewing slides I noticed that certain quiz answers like True /False do not appear, I see the bullet point but there is no text, the blue feedback buttons show but again no text.

Any help would be appreciated as I am trying to update material for a currently running course. When I ask that there is only "plan" tab that appears, unwanted band appears in the first slide of the questionnaire and remains thereafter. I just updated from Adobe Pn 8 to Pn10 and have been testing learner analytics through als.adobe.com (ALS) with the Collaboration tool the add-on provides. Though all students' comments show up in the discussion panel on (ALS) there's something definetely wrong with the reported analytics on the 'Students' and 'Concept' tabs: the dashboard seems to get stuck with two squares alternating cyan and grey colors while blinking. I use Chrome -but have tested Explorer with the same outcome. Can you please advise? I can provide further details if needed. Thank you, --Rudi.

MP3 Files Play Well in PP – but not in Presenter

The company I work with is creating computer-based training programs using PowerPoint and Adobe Presenter. I create the presentations with PowerPoint, develop the animations, and record the sound tracks to go into the slides. The sound files are saved as MP3 files and inserted into the slides.

The sound files and animations play and work perfectly in PowerPoint. Slide shows may contain 25-35 slides each. When I am satisfied, I preview the entire presentation in Adobe Presenter. When I am sure the presentation plays well in Adobe Presenter, we publish the presentation in Adobe.

On several occasions, we have later wanted to revise a Presenter-published show. After opening the original PowerPoint presentation, we try the slides to ensure they still play well. Then, as before, we preview the slides in Adobe Presenter.

Often, the MP3 files that worked perfectly before now no longer play when previewed in Adobe Presenter. Sometimes it is only one or two MP3 files in a slide that do not play (i.e., one or two bullet items with sound). However, often it is most or all of the MP3 files placed in a slide that do not play. Remember, these MP3 files still play perfectly in PowerPoint but not in Adobe Presenter.

-----------------------

Our company computers are all PCs. We have had this trouble with Adobe Presenter using both Windows XP and Win7.

------------------------

I have tried replacing some of the MP3 files that do not play in Adobe with the SAME MP3 files that were used before to make the original presentation. When replaced and the presentation is previewed and published in Adobe Presenter, these MP3 files DO PLAY well in Adobe again.

I am tired of having to replace these MP3 files for no apparent reason. Why would they work well in PowerPoint but not when previewed in Adobe Presenter? Also, it makes no sense that the MP3 files suddenly stop playing in Adobe but, after being replaced in PowerPoint with the same MP3 files, play again in Adobe. Can anyone help with a fix or workaround?

Hi, I read the thread on Adobe Presenter freezing and Power Point crashing but didn't manage to solve the problem that keeps preventing from using Presenter.

I have Powerpoint 2010 and Adobe Presenter 8: they seem to work fine together sometimes but then whenever I hit any of Presenter add-on buttons Powerpoint crashes and when I re-start it it informs me that Presenter add-on caused a major problem and warns to disable it. The only avenue to resume working on Presenter so far has been to reinstall it but then it only solves the problem temporarily. Can you please advise? Thank you

Hyperlink to current slide in html5 or restart current slide for buffer issues

Hello,

i am publishing to HTML5 and having good success except for one thing. everyone knows that buffering videos has always been a problem with this software. My workaround has been to create a "refresh video" button on each video slide that is a simple hyperlink to that same slide. Pushing the refresh video button would then restart that slide and the video buffer problem disappeared.

Now that I'm using html5 I've noticed that procedure doesn't work anymore. I can hyperlink to anywhere else in the presentation but I can't get that slide to restart using my old procedure. Anyone have any ideas for restarting a slide that is buffering in html5.

BTW, I tested my old procedure when published as SWF and it works that way, but not as HTML5

thank you

Adobe Presenter 10 published URL not working in IE 11, 10, 9, 8 but works in Firefox and Chrome. I can open the index.htm file locally on the computer and it works fine in Firefox and IE.

I can replace the index.htm and loadflash.js with an older Adobe Presenter Published version and then it will work in IE 11, 10, 9, 8 but this seems like a poor solution. Linking directly to the viewer.swf also works in IE. The old loadflash.js file which uses the showFlash() function to load the content works.

The Adobe Presenter 10 presenter.libs.js file which uses its own showFlash() function is not working in Internet Explorer.

(the debugger tool is in IE11 with browser mode IE8/doc modeIE7)

Using IE -->Tools--Developer Tools -  index.htm file returns an error on line 56 loadPrContent();

(X) Expected Identifier, string  or number --- presenter.lib.js, line 101 character 5

(X) Oject expected -- index.htm, line 56 character 5

It appears the 'listener' is expecting a identifier, string or number?

I figured out that I can remove the entire supportTouch function starting with this code and it loads in IE11, 10, 9, 8 :

------------------------------------------------

(function() {

    var supportTouch = $.support.touch,

            scrollEvent = "touchmove scroll",

            touchStartEvent = "vmousedown",

            touchStopEvent = "vmouseup",

            touchMoveEvent = "vmousemove";

    $.event.special.swipeall = {

...

-------------------------------------------------

or remove just this code (associated with line 101) and it works:

-------------------------------------------------

$.each({

        swipeevent: "swipeall",

    }, function(event, sourceEvent){

        $.event.special[event] = {

            setup: function(){

                $(this).bind(sourceEvent, $.noop);

            }

        };

    });

Adobe Presenter 10 publishing seems broken when viewing as http link.
