Earlier i couldnt see an image in the settings manger. i research this and found that in, internet options>advanced tab>security. to uncheck the box that reads. save image to disk. so I cleared the check box and now I have an image to clear my flash cache. Now i cant see it again. the only thing different i did was run my Malwarebytes program. that shouldnt have done anything to the problem. i checked the internet options under advanced tab again the the box is still unchecked. so why am i not seeing the image? also, when i checked to see if i had flash player installed ( I uninstalled my copy today and reinstalled the same program, I was concerned about a faulty program) it installed correctly, it said i have the current version installed but it says i dont have any browser? Im using IE10. it said all this when i was testing my new installation. Please help..

Publishing a flash project with videos included for android and iOS.

I'm currently working on a project that works like a brochure. Its just a simple presentation, navigating from one page to another and instead of images I used videos and simple text. Nothing really fancy. I'm using as3 for my scripts. The videos are in FLV formats that is loaded into flash via the FLV Player component. When test publishing in my PC the project works really well with no errors. Videos and buttons all working the way it should. But when I publish for Android and after installing it on my device some of the videos will play but not all. Using a file manager, I tried looking into the installed file on my android device (mnt/asec) folder but can't really tell if all the videos are there. The only file visible on my android device is the apk file installed. About the same size (999mB to 1gB) as the original apk file packaged by flash. I'm pretty sure I've included all the videos in the package. I tried it several times but end up having the same result. Is there a way to find out if the packaged apk is indeed complete? What might be the problem? Is there a limit to number of videos or file size of the package? Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

RoboHelp 10 FlashHelp not returning search results

Hello All,

I have been using Robohelp for some time now going all the way back to RH7. Currently using RoboHelp 10. I just created a RH10 Flashhelp project and I am having problems with the search results. Here is what I get.

After Producing FlashHelp and opening localling to test search I get the following

IE 9: Search works correctlly

Firefox 26.0: Search returns no results immediately, no long progress of searching almost instant return of no results.

Chrome: same as Firefox.

Hosting on IIS 6 Windows 2003 server R2 with Service Pack 2

IE9: No search results

Chorme: No search results

Firefox: No search results

Does anyone know of possible browser or RoboHelp generation settings that may cause this.

I'm interested in creating a progress bar within game, so if an answer is answered correctly the bar increases, if it's wrong it decreases. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I need a preloader what play this animation while the next animation or the main content is loading. After the Loading is complete, the first animation is ending and the second animation will stat. Live stream skipping

When watching live streaming on flash-based video it skips in time, shooting back from 'live' to an hour before, back to live, back to an hour before and so on. I've disabled 'enable hardware accelloration' to see if that helps, but it doesn't.

I was catching up on watching a televsion show and watching it with no issues/no problems with flash before. I went to the website below and all of a sudden flash is not working. I did not change any settings, run any updates. I checked various browsers, flash content is not working on any of them. I can view youtube videos however just about any other site I've tried, nothing and many websites will not display correctly. I tried some of the troubleshooting suggestions in the forum however some of them I'm unable to do such as alter the flash settings, it takes me to the page but tells me I don't have Flash installed. I've tried switching user accounts on my pc as others have said flash works for them on the other account however mine is still broken. I've actually tried a system restore, still no luck.

Windows 8 (64 bit)

Flash Version 11.9.900.152

Tried web browsers IE, Firefox, Chrome - I've verified it is enabled

Active X is disabled

I've ran the 'test' to verify Flash is installed and it displays the video

I ran the debugger however I do not know how to interpret the data.

PLEASE HELP!!

Flash help - Shape tweening

Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone could help me with an issue I am having in flash. I made a shape using the pen tool and made it a mask. Then I inserted key frames and did a few shape tweening. It works fine for a while and then suddenly freaks out in a couple of frames then goes back to normal and I can't figure out why. I have the file if anyone wants to take a look, I can email or if there is any way to attach it here I can. Any help wouyld be appreciated. Thanks!

Tried with below option,

Flash Help -> we are working with it and has problem for our desktop/standalone wcf application.

Flash Help Pro - > We know that RH server is req. for this option

Web Help Pro- > We know that RH server is req. for this option

Trouble in (Flash Help),

1. When we invoke Flash Help with respective topic ID, it will not show requested topic page along with TOC, it will show default topic/page, which we set at the time creating help. Also it will display "Allow Blocked Content" button at the bottom. If we click on "Allow Blocked Content" it will display the above requested topic page correctly, but without TOC pane. This time we can see 'Show' button(link) on the browser. If we click on 'Show', blank page get displayed.

2. When we are displaying content with option 'OptionConstants.CSH_DISPLAY_CONTEXT' it only show topic and it won't show me the TOC along with current selected topic page.

3. When we are displaying content with option 'OptionConstants.CSH_DISPLAY_CONTEXT' it only show topic with 'Show' link. When we click on 'Show' link, blank page get display.

4. Tool gives us facitlity to publish the Flash help, where we can choose the folder. This means that it publishes folder structure. We are using this folder structure (the published one) and on the top of that we are not getting expected(blank page get display) result.

5. Published content does not contain any mapid/mapfile, if so whow it works correctly with RH development studio.

6. Skin we were using 'beautiful_vista_flash.fhs'

7. We build RH after setting Mozilla as the statup browser. We tried with Mozilla and IE but still our application opens help in IE. So not able to test in Mozilla.

Please assist to resolve it.

Trouble in,

Creating output in RoboHelp

Upgraded recently from RH8 to RH10 and tried to create several types of output for a basic Help file (FlasHelp, WebHelp, WebHelp Pro) but none of them seem to work correctly.

Flashelp/WebHelp does not work in IE (links to PDF don't do anything)...Chrome the tab just keeps flashing.

All layouts work OK in Firefox or Opera.

MS HTML Help is the only one that works which is OK but was hoping for more features.

I'm not a programmer but would appreciate any thoughts or ideas.

1st, as new here, hope this is posted in the right place.

Starting a month or so ago, I noticed a new behavior with Flash. Whenever I would switch to another window, the flash web application I was running (game, advertisement, whatever) would stop, leaving me with a grey window and an 'f' in the middle. Lol, so appropriate. What's the deal? What's the fix? I should be able to tab to another window, minimize, or bring some other window in front of that browser page and still let the thing run "off screen" or hidden. Why does it stop? Typically I have to login again to the application or restart the demo or application that was running flash. Very annoying.

So just about 30 minutes ago, I downloaded the newest version of adobe flash player. I went to youtube and clicked a video. It said "blocked plug-in" so i clicked that and it said "The version of 'Adobe Flash Player' on your system does the include the latest security updates and has been blocked. To continue using 'Adobe Flash Player', download an updated version from

adobe's website". I've downloaded the newest already. What is the problem? I have a macbook air btw. What should I do to be able to watch videos again?

Multiple pivot points using the bone tool?

How do you make multiple pivot points on a symbol using the bone tool? I would like make this 4-bar linkage hinge at all the pin joints, including the lower-left one (so it forms a closed loop that can collapse like a parallelogram). In the image below, it only pivots along the bone, and it won't let me link up the join in the bottom-left.

Flash Crashes When Publishing

Hello.

I've had Flash CS5 for maybe a year or so. In that year or so, Flash has crashed on me maybe a few times, sometimes cyrupted a file or so.

I haven't had any problems again until recently.

I was working on my project which is an opening for my anime I'm trying to get started.

I'm not to experianced in flash yet, so what I do I animate in flash and save it as a animated GIF. File and move it to Sony Vegas to edit. Plus another problem I have with flash Is that when I try to put music in it's really picky about what music can be dropped in the program is always says " Couldn't Import (File name) " Then the second message says " One or more files wasn't imported because there were problems reading them" So, that's another reason why I just move it to Sony and edit it. -.-

So, I have three layers. And the 3rd layer was just a back up just incase I messed up on the animation in Layer 2 , if not, then I would delete the frames in layer 3 and keep going.

So, I haven't done that yet, until a few days ago, I tried to delete some frames from Layer 3, And it completley crashed on me! I tried deleting Layer 3 itself, It still crashes on me, but ONLY when I try to publish it with anything missing from Layer 3. I can save it, and publish it, if I don't touch layer three, but it needs to be deleted. Even if I go into Layer 3's frames and just erase them, it still crashes on me while publishing! I tried making a new file and copying only layer 1 and layer 2, IT STILL FLIPPIN CRASHES ON ME! So Flash is being a real butt about me taking away anything from layer three, If I delete or mess with any of the other layers, It's fine, but no matter what I do, It won't publish anymore. I been working on my project for a few days , and I'm trying to get it finished before school starts, and I don't want there to be a deeper problem and not fix it and things get worse D;

So please help me

Hi guys,

I'm having a problem and I don't know what to do. I'm the Network Admin for The Five Star Institute, and we have some online classes that we host on Moodle and run through a flash player. The same course has been offered for Three years and has NEVER had an audio issue. We recently hired a new employee and he's got to take the course as part of his job, the slides work, but the audio doesn't. I know his audio works on other slides and other files but not this particular one and I'm not sure what to do. Because it was brought to me, I started trouble shooting but I can't hear the audio and neither can one of the other people that I asked to take a look. All of the computers affected have the latest update to flash. Can anyone give me any advice here?

Overlapping issue with the sidebar FlashHelp RH7 effecting only Asian languages?

Once we build using RH7, the sidebar in this FlashHelp shows overlapping in the Glossary Tab View.

This is only an issue after clicking on the Glossary Tab with Asian languages (Japanese and Chinese) and will fix itself if we resize the browser window OR click on the scroll bar.

Below is an image showing the Terms and Definitions in the sidebar, as highlighted in Yellow (The Terms) there is overlapping in the Green (Definition).

RDP is a Term, but can be seen in the Definition area.

Would anyone have any advice on how to fix this?

We tried with RH8 and the same issue happens

I have the latest version installed on IE and Firefox.

The version installed is 11,7,700,202

I have tried this in different browsers, on different computers with different OSes (all with the same Flash version)

The issue remains the same. I would think that this is not an issue with the files as the other languages work perfectly? But since we have the latest version of Flash I would be unsure whether this is a bug in Flash, or a bug generated during compilation of this FlashHelp since it is only affecting Asian languages.

Spanish Flash Player Popup

I run a website, and each time I open the website in Mozilla, I get a popup to install Adobe Flash Player in Spanish. I haven't clicked on anything other than to open my website. I click the X to close and it pops back up the moment I try to activate any link in the site. I have had two other comments from users who have the same problem.

TOC not expanding when topic called

RoboHelp 10 HTML on Windows 7 OS to generate a FlashHelp project.

We implement "context sensitive" help by assigning specific screens in our application to specific help topics. When a user presses

<F1> from a certain screen, a specific help topic is called using a relative path.

Our problem is that when the user presses <F1> and the call is made, the TOC does not automatically open to

the correct book and page (it does not open at all) in Internet Explorer. This only occurs the first time the user presses <F1> from a screen with an assigned topic. When other topics are selected or navigated to, the TOC

automatically opens to the correct book/page. Has anyone ever encountered this or can anyone explain how to

ensure the TOC opens to the correct book and page when a user presses <F1> and a help topic is called?

Here is how it looks when the <F1> button is pressed and IE displays the topic. Notice the book(s) to which the topic is assigned are not opened.

Here is how it should look when the topic is called.

issues viewing output in Chrome

The software that I write documentation for has recently become compatible with Chrome, so I have never had to worry about testing output in this browser until now.

When 'attempting' to open my generated help in chrome it is opening 2 pop-ups.

One is trying to open whcsh_home.htm#id=0 (basically a blank pop-up)

The other is opening an about:blank page

any ideas?

We have been producing Flash based home page content for awhile now and want to continue using Flash. However, right now we use a sniffer to deliver a static image to mobile device users like iPhones, and iPads and would like to know our options for overcoming this and deliver our animated home page.

I want to convert a .flv file to a file that can be used on Youtube. The .flv file runs fine (audio and video) in the adobe Flash player, but everything I try to conver the .flv file to a usable file on YouTube excludes audio. The audio simply does cot convert.

Suggestion greatly appreciated!!!!

I installed the adobe flash update.....when I try to play anything I get an error message that says "plugin blocked" It also says the verson that is installed does not of the proper security?

And whether there is a possibility to change the size of a window of a player during video viewings in public networks and dating sites? Sound and Movieclips

Hi-

I am having problems with sound in my Flash timeline. On my main timeline, I have seven frames that each contain a movieclip with nested animation. I have added mp3s onto the timelines of each of those animations. The problem is that the sound seems to make my movieclips play at inconsistent speeds, often, way too fast. Has anyone run into this problem and know how to fix it?

I Downloaded and Installed Flash and i Tried to run it but it keeps giving me this message

I have an old version of adobe flash that adobe is blocking. How do i unblock it?

It has been blocked since the update on May 23. The update says that it will affect:

All Firefox users who have a version of the Flash Player Plugin older than 10.2.159.1.

However it also says:

This is not an ordinary block. It's just an upgrade notification that will be shown to all users who have these old versions installed, asking them to download the latest version. If they choose to ignore the notification, the plugin will continue to work normally.

My computer is too old to be able to download a newer version. Flash is blocked by Adobe even though they say that, "If they choose to ignore the notification, the plugin will continue to work normally."

So apparently Adobe automatically blocked this, but say it will continue to work normally.

All i want is flash to be unblocked. How do i do this?

When zero search results, message says "No opics ound."

In RH9, after generating FlashHelp, I do a search that yields no results. The message says "No opics ound." Should be "No topics found." What is causing this, and how do I fix it?

By the way, I did install the 9.0.2 update, and that made no difference.

so im on linux ubuntu and I have a normal sound card im sure because my friends on skype all sound okay but when I go on omegle people sound like robots. Now i just adjusted flash so it will automatically let me use cam and video but when I talk to people they sound like robots. Please help

flash player freezes then plays, then freezes, then plays!!

I have an issue when I am trying to view video content in any browser. The video will play for around 10 seconds then freezes for a couple of seconds. The video then plays in fast forward while it catches up and then plays for a further 10 seconds or so and then the same happens. This happens continuely while the content is being played. The audio seems unaffected.

I have turned hardware acceleration off but the problem still occurs.

Does anyone know how I can resolve this?

New To Flash - CS5 - Need Newbee Help On Autoload

I need to point out right-away, I'm getting back into site design but more specifically brand-new to Adobe CS5 - and am teaching myself from scratch. I just took over a position for helping an organization with their web-site and assist making small mods/changes. I already know that I'm in a very complicated environment so please go easy on me.

The original site designers sent us the source which was created using Adobe Flash.

I'm to the point that I am able to make text changes, move items around the pages, etc...I have already made many changes on pages within the site and all works fine.

Here is my problem:

There is a SWF file that is called from 'index.html' that displays the embedded menu items and plays within the page the SWF movie. It plays the movie as soon as you land on the home-page. The movie files is called 'main.swf' - i.e. in your browser submitting 'www.mysite-x.com' will the SWF play and display just fine. That is when I use the original designers main.swf file.

If I modify the 'main.fla' file - the changes and mods appear just fine from the published "main.swf" that is created but with one caveat. When visiting the site for the first time will the flash movie NOT play. I end up having to click on the 'home' menu item within the page (as if to hit the browser's refresh button) and it starts and plays just fine then.

All the movie does is simply cycle through a handful of image.

Is there some parameter that I can set where when the page comes up for the first time, and will start playing the movie right away?

I can't seem to find where that parameter may be or am I looking in all the wrong places?

One last note on this - I hope this avoids any confusion. If I simply copy the "main.swf" file over to the web-server and call it directly (i.e. www.mysite.com/main.swf) it will not play the movie then either until I select/click on one of the menu items within that page and that link just happens to be called/named 'Home" - then the movie plays just fine.

Undoing a Noob Mistake

I ran "delete all websites" from here http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager07.htm l and need to get some of that info back. Needless to say, I didn't realize it was a much more extensive wipe than a basic cookie/history/cache clear. Is there any hope to get that info back?
