Plug In Folders in Adobe Exchange Packager

Hello,

I want to create a ZXP for easy install for customers.

I'm building Photoshop and After Effects Plug In's.

How can I configure Exchange Packager to target a sub folder in AE / Photoshop Plug In folder (Create it if it doesn't exist) and be compatible with the user OS and choice of installation folder?

I can see there are key folders for brushes, actions etc...

Is there $PlugIN ?

I have the latest photoshop CC installed, & extensions manager for CC. I cannot for the life of me understand why after installing Russell Brown's paper textures, & watercolor assistant extensions, they show installed in the exchange panel as installed, but not in the drop down window>extentions !

I have ran the extensions manager program & it says they are enabled! but no where to be seen with the PS CC window>extensions !

Adobe Exchange panel doesn't appear in Dreamweaver CC

I've joined CC and I'm using Dreamweaver, I've also tried to download and install Adobe Exchange panel without success - I can see it in extension manager but the panel doesn't appear in Dreamweaver. I'm beginning to regret ever signing up for CC as it appears to be very glitchy. Could someone help me with this please.

Adobe Exchange wont install into photoshop CC

Running Photoshop CC on Windows 7 on a work networked PC.

I have tried to install directly inside photoshop but it just hangs when it says it needs to launch extension manager. I then tried to do it just with extension manager already open but this didn't help. I then closed photoshop and tried to install exchange via Adobe extension manager CC. When I do it seems to launch it and I have to accept the t&c's but then it comes up with the error: File path "\\hm" is invalid. The extension will not be installed.

Now \\hm is the network path but what I don't understand is why exchnage is trying to go via this path as everything is installed locally on my machine and I am calling the Adobe Exchange install file directly from the hard drive.

Hope that all makes sense. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I was able to download the Extension manager app, go from page to page on your site, find the forums, but the Exchange app says that I'm "not connected to the internet" I have a very good connection. Whassup with that? I'm using a Mac Pro, 32GB Ram, 3.2 GHz QuadCore Intel Xeon, Photoshop CS6. Thanks in Advance!

Exchange panel could not login when installing extensions

Hello,

I've installed Exchange Panel and run it in PS CS6/64. When I want to install an extension, the panel shows only, that it is login in, but no farther action takes place. I've deleted opm.db. Then a login panel appeared and I loged in. But again the exchange panel only showed, that it was loggin in - for several minutes untill I closed it.

On my laptop (ps cs6/32) everything works. Both machines run with win7. Could you help me?

I received an email this morning that my first product has been approved for the exchange. The product link works fine. However, when I search for my own product using extension manager withing Photoshop it doesn't show up. I checked "My Products" and it doesn't appear there either.

Does it take time for it to show up? If so, that's a bit silly because they encourage you to share via social media right away!

I licensed an extension on May 18, 2013 (Double USM) through Adobe Exchange. Even though the vendor has upgraded his software to work with CC, it doesn't show up under "My Stuff".

I shouldn't have to purchase it again — this should be in a database linked to my account (somewhere on Adobe's systems, I imagine).

How can I get this fixed? To whom should I send a copy of the order?

I wanted to install an extension to DW and I was prompted to update the Exchange Manager, which I did. The message I got was that the Exchange Manager update was successfully installed, But when I click on the exchange manager in DW, or when I click on it from Windows Explorer, the message comes up "loading extensions" along with a progress bar that gets to the 75% mark and then just hangs. The only way to get out of it is with the Task Manager.

I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop with windows 7 professional running CS6.

I feel extremely frustated. I've never had things totally non-functional in my previous creative suites. This hangup makes it impossible to download any extensions for Adobe products. In order to download the free trial of the extension I wanted, I had to download Windows Expression Web 4 and run the Expression Web version of the extension, and bring the resulting feature into DW. Unfortunately, Expression Web and DW don't do things exactly the same way, so I'm not getting the benefit of being able to work with the extension in DW.

Given how much Creative Suite costs, this should not be happening. I'm not that technically savvy, so I need help with this.

Can't install latest Exchange Extension for Photoshop CC

Hi, I've been trying for a while now to just get the exchange extension working in Photoshop CC.

1. First Photoshop needed to be updated, did that.

2. Then I installed Extension Manager, did that.

3. Then apparently had to update Both, did that.

4. Then tried to open the Exchange Extension in PS CC, it tells me to "Click Update for the latest features." I clicked update...

5. Another dialog in the extension pops up and says "A newer version of the Exchange panel is available. Would you like to install it?" I click yes...

6. It then downloads the extension, about 14Mb

7. then it tries to install it, but says "Adobe Extension Manager is required to install this extension. Do you want to launch Extension Manager now?". I click yes...

The panel just sits there spinning the wait wheel. It sat there for 5 mins before I killed the panel.

So then I thought I'll just get the latest version of the panel from http://www.adobeexchange.com/

1. Went to http://www.adobeexchange.com/ and clicked the "Download" Button

2. I Chose download for CC.

3. I waited for it to download, then doublie clicke the zxp which opened Extension Manager CC. Extension Manager CC then pops up a dialog saying it's installing the extension.

Extension Manager then pops up a message: "The entension 'AdobeExchange' does not contain a valid signature. The extnesion will not be installed."

So now I'm up to 10 steps just to try and get the exchange extension installed. I'm on Win 7 and the trial version of Photoshop CC.

Anyone have any problems with this?

David Deraedt build a really nice extension to export Illustrator Layers to Edge Animate.

As I tried to use it, i launched the exchange panel which was stuck at version 0.9.5, that is to say i don't use it much. At one moment during the 14.8MB upgrade, it mentions launching Extension Manager. Took me two hard reboots of the machines to go to the end of the upgrade process of Extension Manager (CC, mac mini)

That was the first surprise : there's no mention of theExchange Panel for CC in the Creative Cloud Desktop App (you know the menu item in the menu bar), as there is one for Exchange Cs6. I can understand it's now included in CC apps. But then, when going inside the app (Ai, Ps, inD), the only moment it says "upgrade exchange" is when i launch it. I'm glad it doesn't ask upgrades every once in a while if I don't use it, but there should at least be an information inside Ext. Manager that the 0.9.5 is not the latest version, and that i can upgrade it from there (which i couldn't). That's a bit poor oobe…

Second surprise was then : after i upgraded Exchange, the extension was listed in the panel, and i installed it. At some moment, it asked to authenticate ExManCmd before installing (which launched Extension Manager ?). Then it says the extension was installed, but i need a restart of the app. Fair enough. I restart Ai, the extension is nowhere to be seen (especially in the window menu > extensions > (where Exchange is)).

So i think "maybe I should restart the machine, then Ai". No success. I think about complaining to the developper, but then realize i have another machine. That machine is cleaner, was fresh when i installed the CC apps on it, that must help a lot. On the MacBookPro, ExManCmd launched before the end of Exhange panel's upgrade. Worked fine. Then the extension was listed in "my extensions", great (as expected). I clicked to install it, which it did, prompted for restarting Ai (might be interesting to provide with a quit button there ?). Restart, and in the menu i had the working extension.

My apps are now up to date, all CC, Exchange panel too. Both panels say the extension is installed, but only the macbook has it running.

Any clue ?

I cannot launch the Adobe Exchange Panel in Photoshop or Illustrator. The option to launch this extension is not available in my menu. In Photoshop "Extensions is grayed out". In Illustrator it is not grayed out but it is simply not populated. I have tested this on my laptop and it works just fine there.

I have pasted the above paragraph from a separate thread in a different forum. I was directed to this forum by an adobe staff member.

Thanks in advance for any help with this as the forums are the only support adobe provides for this issue. I think the issue may be a corruption in my extension manager somewhere in the Windows Registry. Using Windows 7 64-bit SP1

I've an up-to-date PS CC. Adobe Exchange does appear in the Extensions menu, and the little Exchange window opens. Then I get the error message that the extension "cannot be loaded," so it never actually opens. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

It's possible that something in PS CS6 is causing this problem--the Exchange opens in CS6 and downloads an item but never actually finishes installing.

I would delete and reinstall whatever might be corrupt if I knew what.

So, the problem is that nomatter what app I try openening the Exchange panel from, it always starts using 100% of the CPU power to the point where I can't even shut down the app or the computer. Everything just stops responding entirely. I can reproduce this in Photoshop, Dreamweaver, InDesign, and Illustrator.

I've tried uninstalling the exchange panel, uninstalling the entire CC suite, tried deleting everything using the CC cleaner tool, and nothing seems to work. I am on a MacBook Pro running 10.8.4 and have updated all of the CC apps. The thing that confuses me is that on my home computer (Macbook air) it runs absolutely fine.

Do any Adobe representatives answer questions on this forum?

I've tried to include a couple of the recent panels in my PSCS6x program. Using Exchange in PS takes for ever. The download is real fast and then the spinning wheel goes on forever. Let it run for 30 min. then moved the mouse and Exchange closed. Reopened it and shows drive meaning have to download.

What's up? Old version of Exchnage no longer works either as I get page not found which I try to dowload.

It seems that Adobe Marketplace & Exchange Classic (http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchange/index.cfm) "Upload to Exchnage" link leads to the new Adobe Exchange in which After Effects is not supported

We would like to submit an AE script developed by us for sale on Adobe Exchange, could you please provide some instructions?

I saw other scripts like which are just a link to other site, how's that could be achieved? Anyway, if it's possible to sell it though Exchange directly that would be a better option I guess.

Adobe Exchange not working CS5.5

I have the full version of Creative Suite CS5.5 and when I open Adobe Extension manager CS5.5, it opens just fine and shows me all of the extensions I have installed for all the products included with the suite.

I wanted to view the exchange part, so I click on the exchange button at the top, it took me to adobe exchange website and said that I needed to download the "Adobe Exchange Panel for CS6", ....okay..... so I downloaded the file and when I opened it, it brought up adobe exchange, but failed to install, "Please make sure the manifest.xml of this extension is valid and the extension manager recognizes at least one product which the extension supports."

what gives?

I can't seem to access Adobe Education Exchange with either of the two computers I use. I use Safari for my browser. I appreciate all of the suggestions to try another web browser but if I did it would be the only website I need a different browser for. Would be very inconvenient. Is the Education Exchange website having problems. I use it on two different computer on two different networks and neither of them seem to be working for me. I can't sign in, or search through the site. It seems to either be extremely slow or frozen for some reason. Just wondered if anyone else has any problems.

I have found the website to be very helpful not only for development of my own skills but to aid in development of my classroom lesson planning.

Installing and using Adobe Exchange for CS 4

Here is the situation. I have CS 4 Design Premium which has Adobe Exchange already however when i try to use it the file extensions . mxp to install what i am assuming is the Adobe exchange extension/ plugin that is needed to contribute items to the Adobe website or exchange site. I have already downloaded the Adobe Exchange i have put it in my extension in CS 4, i have put it in my plug ins in CS 4 both times i have restarted the program and both times the extension has not shown up in photoshop so hep please.

I need STEP BY STEP instructions please.

Exchange CS6 perpetually "Logging in..."

I am trying to access Exchange through Photoshop/Indesign CS6. After entering my password, the Adobe Exchange panel shows the spinner and the text "Logging in..." perpetually. It never gets logged in. I have left it for up to 30 minutes - no success.

Windows XP Professional, 32-bit

Still on trial period with Creative Cloud CS6

Adobe Exchange extension version 0.9.4

Things I have tried:

1) deleting the opm.db file

2) running sfc /scannow

3) changing to a shorter password (less than 12 characters)

I am seriously hoping there is a fix for this. Makes me pretty nervous about the whole cloud computing concept.

Virus alert and problems with Adobe Exchange Panel latest update

just to let you know I downloaded the must recent update to Adobe Exchange Panel and had 2 issues:

Norton Internet security blocks the installation reporting there are high security risks in several .dll files, it won't let me install them.

If I shut down my antivirus the installation works fine, but the panel is blank when opened; it just doesn't work.

According to my antivirus, the "threat" is called "Suspicious.Cloud.7.F" and it finds it in all these files that are installed with the new panel:

I've created an extension that provides syntax recognition and code coloring for the Python programming language.

The one item that will not color-code properly is a multi-line comment. A multi-line comment in Python is:

The XML I'm using is:

<commentEnd><![CDATA["""]]></commentEnd>

The Multi-line comment start works fine. The Multi-line comment end does not.

Comments are set to a grey color. Strings are set to orange, so what happens when I do a multi-line comment is:

What it should look like is:

I'll admit that I am just getting my feet wet in creating extensions of any sort. However I wanted to try to create an extension package that would deploy a script and a panel that would run a script. I packaged my .jsx file as well as my exported panel using the Exchange Packager. This was not to through the online exchange, but rather for my clients to use. It installed fine for me, but when I install it on a machine with CS5 or earlier it says that it requires CS6.
I understand that you guys are probably pushing the Online Exchange, but what's the best way for me to package files like this to make it easy to deploy? I saw the manual for how to package manually, is that what I should be doing?

Adobe Exchange Item Upload Problem

I've uploaded an After Effects template on the adobe exchange and got a confirmation mail that the item is uploaded and has been routed to the QA team for review. It also said that I will get a notification once the item is approved. However, there have been almost two months and I still haven't got any response. I tried to send an email to the support service ("After_Effects_Exchange_Administrators@adobe.com") but the email bounces back. It says "Technical details of permanent failure:

Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. The error that the other server returned was: 550 550 No such user - psmtp (state 13)". Can someone please help me out with this matter? And how long does it normally take for an item to be reviewed ? Thank you very much

You may have seen that Exchnage was recently rebranded as Exchnage Classic and that was really to make way for a brand new Exchange. It is designed to deliver a much better experience to users and producers.

ZXP mac and PC Premiere and AE

My product is both Mac and PC and for both After Effects and Premiere. We have one product for all at one price. The install can be for Mac or PC either or both. Obviously the packages and parts and install locations are different for Mac and PC.

Can I make one ZXP with all possibilities or do I need to make two, one for Mac and One for PC.

If I need two ZXP how do I put them into one package?

If not, how do I get both to the single purchaser for one price?

Exchange Update Issue

Trying to use Exchange to install an extension. Exchange panel shows that an update is required. I had installed the latest version from the Exchange page and it seemed to install fine. If I click on the update button from a panel within say InDesign, I get taken to Adobe Application Manager (have a creative suite 6 education subscription). However, Exchange does not appear in the Applicaiton Manager window so it never sees the update. Any suggestions?

You guys have a giant button at the top of the manager labeled "Exchange" (in between install and help).

When I click this....i go to a dead link.(http://www.adobe.com/go/exchange) How did you guys fail so badly? I have to google the website to find the right place!?

Additionally, I clicked on help to try and resolve this issue...and it asks me to sign in...so i type in my login info and nothing happens..no confirmation, no signing in, no error that i may have typed in something wrong...just clears the user and pass fields and that's it! Seriously??

But the status of my uploads is still:

Your upload is complete and will be submitted to our QA team for review. We will notify you by e-mail when your upload is posted to the site. You can always check this page for the most up-to-date status of your item.

Is there any chance to see it published one day?

You can see these presets at www.reallyniceimages.com just in case.
They are really amazing ones, my colleagues and I are using them daily, so I hope these presets are really worth to share to the community.

Exchange Packager Problem

Hi all, I've been trying to create my zxp package using the adobe exchange packager software. Everything works fine untill I reach the point where I want to add my files t the package which consist of three xml files and a png graphic. My problem is I can only get the graphic and one of the xml files to be added to the list, the remaining two xml files do not get added no mater what I try.

I would really appreciate some help on us this please.

Can't upload ZXP to Exchange, it shows errors.

I have such problem, according the documentation (MXI tech note) and example ("Example of a simple valid MXI file") from there - https://www.adobeexchange.com/resources/7 - I've created ZXP. But when I try to upload file through new Adobe Exchange -> Create New Product, I get such error:

1) names of MXI file and ID in the MXI are the same. Even tried the same name for ZXP file.

2) Here is example of my MXI file:

in MXI file I have:

I have sent numerouse emails to Adobe Exchange trying to see why a Web widget ( Flexslider) I upgraded over two months ago seems to be stuck at "Status: Online, Pending Admin Review". Nothing I seem to do alters this status. Reupload, send emails, try to set an off exchange link, etc. etc.

It seems no one is at home to do an Admin review and no one ever responds. A simple bug fix upgrade never gets approved.

How about an email adress to contact someone at least!! Or a reason why it can't be upgrade?
