Pre-Purchase Domain Hosting Question

I've been considering upgrading my CS6 to CC.
One thing I am wondering about is should I change my web hosting too, since that seems to come with Adobe CC. I need to decide in the next 2 weeks, since this is when I'm due for renual on my domain name and hosting.

My questions are hopefully simple:

Does Adobe allow me to bring over my already-owned domain name (it's just my surname) and, does Adobe take care of all the emails addresses associated with that domain name?

In other words, I have, "Video@domainname.com" "mjr@domainname," "info@domainname," and about 3 others. Do I still need a domain hosting service for this?

When I try to log in to the back end of my site I get this error:

System Emails | Conditional display of tags

Hi, I am currently looking at modifying a system email (invoice) to include the discount amount where this is applicable.
I want to hide the entire table row if no discount is applied to avoid showing discount $0.00 on the majority of system emails.
A conditional statement would allow this, however, from what i have read to date this doesn't seem possible.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

We host webmail for a client using Business Catalyst. He's been telling me when he receives mail in his Inbox... after 1 day the mail is deleted or gone.

Is there a setting to turn this off? or is this caused by the client?

I launched a new site and now none of the email addresses associated with the site work.

I have been using BC for a while but never for e-commerce, I feel it is a bit embarrassing to ask ...

How does the shipping integrations really work?

I can not find any info on what automation the integration provides.

So far I understood how to set up payment gateways and shipping providers.

But what happens when the shop goes live? How does the integration work?

When a customer places an order, will that info be sent directly to the shipping provider?

I found out that I can use the integration to get pricing info, but I don't understand how the daily routine will work.

Also found a video on order management where I learned that I can print shipping labels etc.

So, Is this all a manual thing? Do I have to manually print/email the shipping labels to our warehouse or can it be automated?

What if I have multiple shipping providers, are the lists with labels separated for each shipping provider - country?

Lot's of videos and tutorials but I am sorry to admit that I can not find any info on how the actual shipping process works or what kind of automation I get from the integration.

The setup for our shop is that we sell product to over 33 countries. We use all the shipping providers and have different stock locations in the world.

I hope there is some automation available to minimize manual work.

I know a lot of people asking this but for me i'm still confused.

I made a website to this client. He wants to upload the mp3 files on his site via FTP.

I told him just send the files to via drop box and I'll upload those to Adobe Muse and publish it to Business Catalyst.

He keep insisting me to use to use Filezilla. He wants me to provide the username and password to him. I really don't know what to say.

So basically, I'm designing the web in Adobe Muse and publish it to Business Catalyst. I buy the domain name in Cheap-registrar.com

How should I respond to my client about this? and is there something that I miss about FTP?

I am trying to publish a site designed on Muse. I have already pointed my domain to the new server. However, in the instructions I am told to Upgrade my trial site which looks like a $10/monthly fee. Supposedly with my CC subscription the web hosting is free....I have recently switched from web.com to take advantage of this...thank you!

why would adobe muse recommend hosting on BC for form functionality, if the server does not support PHP!

Hi all. BC newbie here.

Is it possible to use the e-commerce APIs from a site that's not built on Business Catalyst? Support informed me that the APIs can't be accessed except through a Webapp, but it seems Webapps only run on a BC site. What's the solution, then? How do I make a non-BC site communicate with a BC site?

Or, do I have to make it go the other way? Write an app to have the BC site his the other site through Ajax?

My Adobe Business Catalyst (Web Hosting) continues to function, however, I require immediate need to return to MUSE to edit my website. HELP!

CRM customer records not displaying

Recently when I log in to the back end, the customer records don't display in the CRM unless I run a search for a specific customer or case under the "search" screen. It shows that there ARE records (611 to be exact), but none of the names display. I was assuming this is some kind of browser issue, but I have updated my browsers and tried viewing in both chrome and safari. I am including a screen shot for reverence. Has anyone else run into this issue? I am assuming there is something I am missing. . .

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi I trans transferred files and re-created module containers etc... from the follow trial site Home to an old site which is this Home I have most of it working apart from a few things have come up the logo home link which works fine in the trial site but it wont work on the live site and also the nav in the footer, I was on to customer support live chat and the think its an embedded code in the primary nav, the site is based on the church template by BC Curios, I am going to an logo link in the header as temp, but u can see high lighted in green text "no items found" Help please.....

I have a list of products on a page and each product has an image and the sale price.

The individual products are manchester items and so they come in different sizes - ie single, queen, king. In the large product view the shopper can select the attribute from the drop down list (each attribute has a different price).

The problem is that the attribute price gets added to the sale price in the checkout. I would also be happy to remove the sale price tag from the individual products in the small product view but I would like to be able to replace it with a price that does not get added to the final sale.

Can this be done using a {tag_custom1}? If so how does one set up the parameters for the custom tag? There seems to be no information on this in the BC manuals.

If someone could help out I would be so grateful!

The dialog box when publishing forces the user to Businesscatalyst. Once on business catalyst, I can't find a way to ftp to a different host. Does someone know how to have this done?

I am trying to add my blog to my website in muse...

I created the bc_template in muse like instructed.

I went to Object > Insert html to "{tag_pagecontent}"...

But its not acting like a tag....Muse won't read it.

So It won't upload my template when I publish my site from Muse

I'm working in the blog module on business catalyst. I need to add some class styles to the drop down menu so the BC users in my group who are not code writers can apply a styles not provided on the 0verall template. To be more specific I need to add an image resize class and a caption class to the dashboard "Apply CSS Class" dropdown when in the Blog Post, New Post dashbord. From what I can tell the class styles are generated by the server in a file named ModuleStyleSheets.css. When I open that file I'm warned not to add anything to it.

My question is, How do I add new class styles to the dropdown without using the ModuleStyleSheets.css?

Ordering of product attribute options

Hi,

Is there a way to control the order in which attribute options are displayed? An example is size where originally sizes 37 - 42 were loaded and therefore appear in the correct order on the drop down list on the cart. An extra size 36 option has been added and appears as the last entry on the product->attributes screen and also in the drop down list on the cart. I would like to be able to re-order the values so they go from small ->large rather than order entered. I thought a simple drag and drop may have been available to re-order, however, haven't found anything.

I've just 'gone live' with one of my 'free' five Business Catalyst sites included with my Creative Cloud subscription. I've set up the nameserver to my url and all is working correctly.

However, I can't see how to set up email for this site!

There seems to be no email set-up options in the Admin Console?

Surely email is included in these free sites, they are not worth including otherwise

Please tell me I don't have to upgrade for email.

Can somebody please kindly point me in the right direction?

Why I cannot edit the rest of the pages in my website though admin console in business catalyst.

The site is made in Adobe Muse, and is published online.

The edit option unfortunately doesn't work on all pages. It works on home page and couple of more.

I really do not know what to do, because my client gets frustrated...

I am concerned by the 'non help' , customer service platitudes available to me as a customer. I was left 3 minutes to go through auto call filtration to be told that there is no-one to speak to. I am a new customer, clearly I have a different view of what customer service is. I wonder what exec has ever tested this? Anyone in their right mind could see that this is just plain poor and unacceptable.

No a great start, as we stand I will not be recommending this platform within my business community which amounts to 30 companies because I am nervous they will receive the same shoddy service.

Don't worry though, I only have a security breach and need urgent help.

Shipping Problem - Limit Delivery to Following Countries

Having a real problem with this.

I am working on a site based in Ireland.

They want to ship their products to a range of countries.

They can only use euros for now.

I thought I could setup shipping options for these countries,

everyone would have to pay euro prices as we only had the domain in Ireland,

the company would then organise the shipping via Irish postal provider

Shipping costs and taxes were worked out for these countries based on Irish tax etc, VAT 23%

some countries dont have tax on shipping etc.

I setup the shipping options in the "Country of domain purchase is made from:" - Ireland (only one setup on site)

I put in the various Countries, the prices, whether they had tax or not, and set the "Limit Delivery to Following Countries: " field to match the Shipping option,

eg.

IE - United Kingdom (€5.69)

Tax Code: IE - VAT (23%)

Description: United Kingdom

Limit Delivery to Following Countries: United Kingdom

I am using {tag_shippingoptions,true,true,IE;GB;US;AU;AT;BE;CA;HR;DK;EE;ET;FI;FR;DE;HU;IS;LV;LT;LU;M T;NL;NZ;NO;PL;PT;SG;SK;ES;SE;CH}

but I have tried other configurations of the module too

This is not working correctly though,

shipping tax only gets applied to shipping country when Ireland is selected.

The shippingState drop down shows VAT for everyone,

and it pre-populates my order_registration form making the shipping address look odd with VAT in the state field and cant be edited.

Is there way to offer shipping options to multiple countries while only having site setup in Ireland?

Can this be done through custom fields?

Would it help to only have one shipping option & price?

I did follow the instructions on how to change my name servers to my domain name i i got from godaddy. Then I add a site domain name to my site i uploaded my own to Business Catalyst so when i go to the site it keeps reading my old hosting server where i go to stephentemple.com it stills reads hostmonster on my domain name which i don't want that. How can this be fix where it reads my trial site i have to stephentemple.com? I'm so new to this.
