(Mac) Troubleshooting: Creative Cloud Connection update from 1.0 to 1.0.5

    A number of people have reported trouble updating from 1.0 to 1.0.5. A few of you have been able to overcome problems by first uninstalling then reinstalling. I've created a visual guide on how to do this on the Mac.

    Mac 1.0 uninstall, 1.0.5 install instructions

    1. If its running, Quit the app from the Mac Menu

    Alternatively: You can also force quit Creative Cloud Connection by using the Mac OS Activity Monitor app (/Applications/Utilities/Activity Monitor)

    1. Quit from Menu.png

    2. Go to Applications/Adobe Creative Cloud Connection and click Uninstall Adobe Creative Cloud Connection

    3. Follow the Uninstall instructions. Note: Its not necessary to Remove Preferences3. Uninstall Screen.png

    4. Go to http://creativea.adobe.com/apps and Sign in with your Adobe ID

    5. Scroll down to Creative Cloud Connection and click Download

    5. Scroll down to tools, click download.png

    6. Follow any instructions on the pop up (this step may not be necessary if you have Adobe Application Manager installed)

    7. Sign in to Adobe Application Manager (may not be necessary if you've previously signed in from another sesssion)

    7. AAM will launch and sign in (may not be needed) .png

    8. Scroll down to Creative Cloud Connection and click "Install" and installation will begin

    9. Click "Launch App"

    10. Go to Menu icon and view Preferences to check the version as 1.0.500.17

    11. From Preferences click "Advanced" to see the new Transfer Speed and Folder Location features
