A number of people have reported trouble updating from 1.0 to 1.0.5. A few of you have been able to overcome problems by first uninstalling then reinstalling. I've created a visual guide on how to do this on the Mac.
Mac 1.0 uninstall, 1.0.5 install instructions
1. Quit Creative Cloud Connection -If its running, go to the Mac Main menu, select the Creative Cloud Icon and select "Quit the Creative Cloud Connection"
Alternatively: You can also force quit Creative Cloud Connection by using the Mac OS Activity Monitor app (/Applications/Utilities/Activity Monitor)
2. Quit System Preferences - Go To Apple Menu->System Preferences->Quit System Prefernces.
Creative Cloud Connection preferences are in the Mac OS System Preferences. System Prefrences need to be quit before uninstalling.
3. Launch Uninstaller- Go to Applications/Adobe Creative Cloud Connection and click Uninstall Adobe Creative Cloud Connection
4. Uninstall- Follow the Uninstall instructions. Note: Its not necessary to Remove Preferences
5. Go to creativecloud.com- Go to http://creative.adobe.com/apps and Sign in with your Adobe ID
6. Download 1.0.5- Scroll down to Creative Cloud Connection and click Download
7. Follow Adobe Application Manager prompts - Follow any instructions on the pop up (this step may not be necessary if you have Adobe Application Manager installed)
8. Sign in to Adobe Application Manager - (may not be necessary if you've previously signed in from another sesssion)
9. Install 1.0.5 - Scroll down to Creative Cloud Connection and click "Install" and installation will begin
10. Click "Launch App"
11. Check Version as 1.0.500.17- Go to Mac Menu, select the Creative Cloud icon and view Preferences to check the version as 1.0.500.17
12. Try out new 1.0.5 features- From Preferences click "Advanced" to see the new Transfer Speed and Folder Location features
