What is the difference between blue and light blue grids ?

I've been wondering about what those 2 colors mean.

Sometimes when I tried to edit layer, blue grids disappeared and I just wanted to use light blue one.

Can you tell me the difference ?スクリーンショット 2017-11-28 20.04.27.png

You can have :

a. Canvas guides. These will appear and stay whatever artboard you have selected

or

b. Artboard guides. These are attached to a particular artboard and will only be visible when you have that particular artboard selected (check the layers panel).

You can set different colours for guides attached to a particular artboard and guides attached to the entire canvas.

See Preferences > Guides, Grids & Slices > Guides

Thank you for your advice !

I understood that I can change those colors.

When I click outside canvas, this blue grids disappear but it show up again when I click inside canvas.
Why does it happen ?

I want to keep grids visible like light blue grids.

Thank you very much for your advice.

Now everything is clear and I can research this more thanks to the word of artboard guides that I didn't know.
