New ADE 4.5.7 is scrambling images

We have created a bunch of eBooks - ACS/DRM protected PDF files. They have been working just fine until such time as we (or anyone) upgrades to ADE 4.5.7. all images in the book that were perfect before are now rendered as scrambled snow. This is happening on mac and windows versions of the software. Does anyone have any insight on why this might be happening?

I went to the link below and downloaded the newest version of ADE.  Everything is back to normal now.

Thanks - but 4.5.8 doesn't solve the problem.....
