Adobe Acrobat DC Does Not Launch but starts process? (WIN 7 ENT SP1 / DC 15.20.20038.203716)

Adobe Acrobat DC Does Not Launch but starts process.

We are able click on the shortcut, but nothing launches.

Task manager displays the Acrobat.exe process. But the application is not visible.

Ran AcroCleaner and removed, restart, and relaunched the application.  It launched 1 time, and now will not open.

I am unable to find any application log errors in Event Viewer.

Please Advise.

Hi Awarpinski,

Please try following troubleshooting steps:

1- Update Acrobat DC to the latest version, click Check for updates under Help menu. You may also download updates manually from this link: Adobe - Acrobat : For Windows ( reboot the machine after installing update and try again).

2- If that doesn't work, launch Acrobat as an administrator: Run an Adobe program as administrator | Windows 7, Vista

3- If step 2 doesn't work, try running Acrobat in compatibility mode for Windows 7. You may refer to the steps given in this link: DC Reader only run as a background process
