Unable to cancel Lightroom CC monthly subscription purchased from Digital River

Hi there,

Yesterday I purchased a license for Lightroom CC. I was directed to Digital Rivers for purchasing the subscription. I received an email from Adobe confirming the order details and I have installed Lightroom CC onto my Mac. What I realised was that the Lightroom CC version is not the same as the now renamed Lightroom Classic. I would like to cancel Lightroom CC and instead purchase a license for Lightroom Classic.

I do not see any options to cancel my current plan when I log on to my Adobe ID.

I have looked through various forum threads, however do not find a suitable answer. Nor am I able to have a chat with customer support as I am just kept waiting for hours together.

Can someone please help with cancellation please?

I waited for over an hour to be connected to on chat with Customer Care representative. After spending a few minutes, I was advised that my problem requires a specialist assistance and was told that the chat would be transferred to a specialist. After waiting for several moments, I saw the following message "Thanks for contacting Adobe.Visit our forums. Post questions and get answers from experts 24/7."

I wonder what I need to be doing next to find an answer.

I'm not familiar with the Digital River purchase process, but a quick Google turned up these refund instructions: Digital River Online Store - Returns and Cancellations

If Digital River can't help, let me know and I'll find a staff member who can.

Lightroom mobile premium? How did you sign up for it Jennifer? If it was through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, you need to cancel through them rather than through Adobe.

I had the same problem. I initially had an issue with purchasing Lightroom CC as my location was different from the location i used when I created the account. A customer Service Representative via Chat helped me sort it out. I was able to successfully place the order  but whenever I try to access  Lr on my desktop it was still showing "Subscribe". I didnt get any confirmation of the purchase. Because I was so desperate to buy the product as I needed it badly at that time, I placed another order thinking something somewhere just went wrong. Later, I figured that the Representative created a new account for me Instead of arctic.avon85 he created arctic.avo85 I then realized both of the orders went through and I was charged 37AED each.  I contacted Digital River cancellation dept to at least cancel 1 but they were telling me I should contact Adobe for it. But for how many days now I was unable to reach any contact support. I had to block my bank account to prevent the charges in the future as I wasn't sure how I would be able to resolve it by myself.

I am very disappointed because I liked Lightroom CC in editing my photos but it was a nightmare purchasing it.

Hi Tristan, you need to open up the iOS Settings, then navigate to the "iTunes&App Store"-entry....long-tab your Apple-id and choose "View Apple Id". Within your Account settings you can navigate to  the "Subscriptions" where you will find the Lr Mobile Premium subscription with the option to renew/cancel etc.
