Can someone please assist me with this,

I have purchased Adobe Acrobat Pro xi and while i was entering the serial number it said that is invalid and that i need to contact customer support.

But when you go onto Adobe.com there is no customer support for acrobat? (only forum, hence this question)

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Adobe stopped selling Acrobat XI about 3 years ago, completely. They didn't keep it on the market at reduced price. There are no more, so it's important to be very suspicious of anyone who seems to still have good supplies of something not being made... there are also now some very good counterfeits flooding the marketplace. Was this Amazon themselves, or an Amazon seller?

Ask for a refund as soon as possible and report the seller to Amazon.
