can i use the "file info" log to access previous states no longer showing in history?

Thank you for the quick, helpful reply. Just a (relatively useless) log. I had a little hope it might lead somewhere (since it was so sketchy) but no help.

I believe I've discovered a way to access earlier temp file(s). At least for me on my system.

Yosemite 10.10.5 running on iMac (Mid 2011)   Adobe Photoshop CC 2017

I see 65 views here, so maybe it will help someone else.

Make invisible files visible and you can find your way to AutoRecover and access very recent temp files.

As far as I can tell they're deleted after the parent file is closed.

The Log's use comes in for reference (what was that filter setting?) and billing (This is what I did and the time it took to complete the job).

Time Machine is handy for recovering the hourly backups of a file, Dropbox supports File versioning, and even an old-fashioned "Save-As" can keep an earlier state of your file. I wish this was basic training every time someone asks how to repair the wrecked copy of that only PSD on their flash drive.
