help-photo does not open

I have photoshop elements 14

when I right click a photo and select open with photoshop elements 14 it opens a blank photo shop screen than I have to go to file and find the photo

why does the photo not open???????????

Thanks for posting on Adobe forums.

Could you please share the screenshot of the issue so we can help you in a better way?

Also please try to reset the preferences this might resolve the issue.

Windows

Step 1. Hold down the Alt + Ctrl + Shift keys as you click on the icon to open Elements. When asked if you want to delete the settings file, say yes.

Step 2. Reset the preferences as above.

Step 3. Close Elements and let the file regenerate.

Macintosh

Step 1. Hold down the Opt + Cmd + Shift keys as you click on the icon to open Elements. When asked if you want to delete the settings file, say yes.

Step 2. Reset the preferences as above.

Step 3. Close Elements and let the file regenerate.

Method #2 - Find & Delete Prefs.psp

4) Make sure you can see the hidden files and folders on your computer.

Go to Hidden Files & Folders.

5) Go to My Computer or Computer and follow this path:

C: > Users > [user name] > AppData > Roaming > Adobe > Photoshop Elements > x.0 > Editor > Adobe Photoshop Elements x.0 Prefs.psp

6) Right click on the Adobe Photoshop Elements x.0 Prefs.psp, and select Delete.

A new preferences file is created the next time you start Photoshop Elements.
