Do you have someone who needs to work in Photoshop for the first time? That could be a problem for them (and maybe you, too). Photoshop is a big power app. Newbies are easily intimidated.

Adobe has 5 starter videos for you newbie Adobe Photoshop friends.

They are clear and concise, and even if their video learning curve is kind of bumpy, they’re under five minutes. (Okay, one clocked in at 5 minutes and 5 seconds.)

Be a friend. Send your Photoshop first-timer an email with this link:

Not convinced? Okay. Here’s the executive summary: the videos cover the important basics on how to get started in this powerful app, and how to navigate to the tools and features that are absolutely essential in getting started:

  • Open an Image
  • Get familiar with the work area
  • Learn how to zoom and pan
  • Undo a command
  • Save your work

Can it get more basic than that? The learning intimidation factor rates around 0.1 out of 100.0. The presenter, Jan Kabili, is a well known instructor. If you still don’t trust our opinion, trust Jan.
