Where the heck is the Merge to HDR????

Hi, I have searched the whole app (even tried crtl H), the forums and google and the Merge to HDR feature seems to be a taboo issue. Either I am being blind and cant see it at all, or Adobe haven't added this into the new build. If it's the latter, I am actually astounded no one has asked the question as to where the bloody hell it is.

Is there anyone out there that could shed some light on the issue, for all us people who want to use Lightroom for professional reasons?

Lightroom CC is NOT an update to Lightroom 2015/CC. The update to the old program is Lightroom Classic. Install that and you'll have the HDR feature back. Lightroom CC is for when you want your entire library of images to be stored in the cloud, don't shoot an awful lot, and don't care much about things like HDR, printing, batch editing, keywording, etc. Lightroom Classic is for when you want your images to be mostly local and need those features and/or when you shoot large amounts of images.

Thanks Jao vdL Thats a bit of a confusing naming. Surely they would have been better calling it Lightroom Lite and the the now "classic" to Lightroom Pro? Also the pricing structure makes no sense, it is baffling that they would try to entice the casual user into a pay monthly package and leave the power users out in the cold. Very odd.

The new LR CC has a HSL panel, it is accessed by pressing the color wheal symbol in the Color Pallet.

Dream on. Lightroom CC is completely new from the ground up. Whatever is added to Lightroom CC will be added when it's added. It's new technology, taking Lightroom in an entirely new direction. You just have to watch it grow and develop as it will.

bitm07 was faster than me. Indeed HSL is there it's just hard to find. What is further missing though are:

  • Full screen mode (the real one!)
  • nested keywords
  • batch editing and keywording
  • sync develop settings to more than one image
  • Printing
  • Export to anything but jpeg
  • publish services
  • support for export color spaces other than sRGB
  • Ability to geotag
  • Changing capture date (time zone offsets!)
  • More complex searches than "and" logic - search is really weak currently regardless of the AI
  • Sync just what you want

Just a quick attempt ;-). If you don't need any of these LR CC is fine.

Hummm?  Windows 10 just had an update which added a People module and installed a third-party app (Screen Recorder).

(I promptly got rid of both)

Maybe Microsoft should not have released Win 10 until those items were included?

Thanks bitm07 and Jao for the updates. The original list was lifted off Scott Kelby's website.

Clipping warnings are available if you use two fingers when adjusting sliders.

According to what I've heard hierarchical keywords will be gone for good.

I think the two finger trick is mobile only and doesn't work on the desktop version. Undoubtedly they will add it somehow sometime.

That would be monumentally shortsighted but not unexpected. Very Appleesque to do this. "Some people don't get it so let's get rid of it."
