I have two Lightroom Classic CC catalogs. Each catalog has ~20K photos. The catalogs reference photos, in some cases, that have the same file name; e.g., MarkEMcClure_20170101_00001. I have already migrated one of the catalogs to Lightroom CC. I understand if/when I migrate the other catalog, I can organize the photos into separate folder structures.
Question: Will I encounter migration or cloud storage issues (e.g., file name conflicts) when I migrate the second catalog?
Unlike Lr Classic, Lr CC on desktop supports duplicate files. So, in your case both copies of 'MarkEMcClure_20170101_00001' will be migrated into Lr CC, and no conflicts should occur. The conflict is avoided because the application, having determined that one or more of the files is a duplicate, will add a suffix to the file name (e.g. MarkEMcClure_20170101_00001_01). In effect, Lr CC treats each separate file.
After migration, you can expect, each migrated catalog to have its own album or album

After migration, you can expect, each migrated catalog to have its own album or album structure. That being said, I'm not sure what you mean by 'I can organize the photos into separate folder structures'. The folder structure used to store files is not intended to be accessible to the user, and any attempt to manipulate manually using OS tools will likely end up a mess. Sure, you can place files within albums, and albums within folders, but Lr CC does not support user file management.

Thanks, Ian. I appreciate your feedback. My comment about organizing the photos into folders, was meant within the Lightroom CC application not the OS (i.e., albums in folders).
