Hi latenightbj,

Please update Lightroom CC to 1.0.1 update and check if that helps.

Keep your Lightroom version up to date

Hi Mohit,

I was really interested in testing Lightroom CC (for many reasons, but particularily for the cloud features, allowing me to work from everywhere). But unfortunately I was not able to get it running on my windows PC at home, so now the test period is over and I will probably have to look for other solutions.

What I did:

  • Install from adobe website
  • Reinstall from installer file
  • Reinstall from Adobe CC GUI
  • clearing Preferences, restarting/reinstalling
  • spending hours searching through communities

You tell us to keep the version up to date - is there another way to do so other than reinstalling (rembember it won't even start).

This is my last try - maybee you can give me/us another good hint. Otherwise I fear you have lost a customer - presumably more since others seem to have similiar problems.

Regards,

Axel

Hi!

Mine doesn't start, instruction is "upgrade", than program says: "program is not reacting".

Can't use the program, never could start once...

Hi there!

Problem is: Initialising, then trying to upgrade, next: program closes. I did re-install.

Thanks for your reaction anyway.

Sorry Mohit,

Lightroom 6.0 (did buy a few days ago) says: Upgrade for making new logfile.

When I do, program closes after a few seconds, so I can't update either..).

Thanks anyway.

I've got the same problem. Can you try turning off GPU acceleration in the preferences and see if that helps you?

Since we all use (basically) the same software and it works just fine for most, when there are problems, such as yours, the cause is with Microsoft Windows and/or a specific PC system. Since the software runs just fine on most Windows systems we are left at looking at an individual system as the cause.

i.e. - If it works on my system but not on yours the cause is your system and not that of the software.
