I am unable to type my digital signature

Acrobat Adobe DC 2017 does not allow me to type my digital signature. I can only type the letter "g" and numbers. Is there a fix for this?

Sorry for the delay in response to your query and apologize for the inconvenience caused. As per the description above, you are not able to type your digital signature in a PDF file, Is that correct?

Please check for any pending updates of Acrobat/Reader from Help>Check for updates. You can also repair the installation files of Acrobat/Reader from Help>Repair installation(only for Windows). Reboot the machine after the installation of updates and repair and see if this brings any difference.

If the issue persists, please share the following details:

• Is it Acrobat or free desktop version of Adobe Reader is installed, to identify refer to Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC
• Dot version of Acrobat or Reader installed, to identify refer to Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC
• Is it happening with one PDF file or with all the PDF file?
• Is it a Mac or Windows machine?

Try signing any other PDF file and check whether the issue is reproducible.

Thank you so much for following up with me on this,

I followed your instructions and am still having the same issue.
The only letter I can type into the digital signature is “g”, otherwise I get
an error saying no form fields were found and the digital signature field
closes out.

Below is the information requested:

-I have Adobe Acrobat 2017

-This issue is happening with all files

-I have a Windows machine

Please use Acrobat cleaner tool to remove Acrobat Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs Reboot the machine and install Acrobat from Download Pro or Standard versions of Acrobat DC, 2017, XI, or X
