I am in a place where internet speeds arent brilliant. When one views a RAW file in LR CC (i.e. viewing the file in the cloud), is the RAW image (say 25MB) on your desktop / ipad first downloaded or do you only view smart previews? When will the RAW image need to be downloaded? For editing? There is no way i can use LR CC if scrolling through images means 'downloading' 25MB of data at a time ... please help.
Full resolution (your original RAW) images are sent to the 'cloud'. Smart previews remain local. If, maybe after some adjustment(s), you want to Save To: your local drive you have an option of 'Original + Settings' and/or .jpg. Original + Settings saves the original to your system so you may continue work, including reversing what you did in Lr CC. The .jpg is a fresh version that has the adjustments made permanently.
