When working on canvas in Photoshop, the cursor stylus is not displayed correctly.

Then I suspect the problem may be outside of Photoshop, some OS setting or a driver maybe.

What are you talking about?

If it’s about the magenta line you can set Smoothing to 0%.

You can set the Smoothing to 0% (the third numeric entry field in the Options Bar).

Or do you mean that the cursor position is incorrect?

Does this affect all Tools?

Does turning off »Use Graphics Processor« in the Performance Preferences (Photoshop > Preferences > Performance > Graphic Processor Settings) and restarting Photoshop have any bearing on the issue?

What have you done for trouble-shooting so far?

Restoring Preferences after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved might be a good starting point:

Make sure your brush settings are set so the cursor catches up to the brush stroke. Also, you can turn off the magenta line.
