Installing fonts and recognising them while running Indesign.

Hi Everyone!

In Indesign CS5 version, when I was  working on indesign, whenever installing a new font it was immediately recognised by indesign without having to close it and open it again. In CC this has stopped happening and now I have to exit the program and re-enter to get the font available. Is it missing any configuration or is it just like that?

are you using a professional font manager? like suitcase fusion?

As when I was using CS5, I'm using Font Explorer X.

What operating system? How are you installing the fonts? Are you using a font manager?

And I am working in Mac os 10.13.1

I’m a Suitcase Fusion user so I can’t comment on Font Explorer except to ask if you have the most updated version?
