I just have downloaded and installed the latest version of Lightroom. It seems I've received a very limmited version. What can I do to roll this back? It supposed to be an update but this looks like a downgrade.
Thanks GH
The old Lightroom CC 2015 has been rebranded as Lightroom Classic CC. If you downloaded and installed what is NOW Lightroom CC, you installed a new program that is a cloud-based program that is being introduced. The program naming convention has been questioned by many. Nobody has an answer. But if you want the program that you have been accustomed to then you probably want Lightroom Classic CC. The new Lightroom CC is something to experiment with and watch grow over the next several versions. B

Hi GH, If you have a subscription, launch Creative Cloud and go to the Apps tab. You can install Lr Classic and also uninstall Lr CC if you don’t wish to try.

What a download of crapola Adobe did with LR.
Why would I choose one over the other?
Does one have to download and install both to find out?
I assumed I wanted to stay with the latest and greatest.
WTF is the latest and greatest?
I have to admit, I have never seen Adobe make a bad move yet; I have always loved their products.
However, what a mistake this time.
I just tried to use the so-called cloud version and have no idea what to do.
I wanted to use my HDR program, Photomatix, but have no idea what to click or where to go.
I highlight the three photos and nothing.
I clicked and right clicked on every thing on the page and nothing.
The gd screen just sits there with no options!!

Do you have a specific question?
Or is this the time for you to take 5 and do some research before proceeding further?

I personally am new to adobe and have watched every tutorial for lightroom and cannot find a BASIC red eye removal tool... concerned this is perhaps not the program for me... I need the basics, red eye is one of them. Any ideas?

Not sure what you mean by basic but there's no red eye removal in CC...yet.
Have you tried the Red Eye Correction tool in Classic CC?

Yep, I was upset yesterday.
Sorry Adobe, but no, there was very little in the way of announcements.
One day, my desktop app had two LR's.
It said one was cloud based and the other a desktop version.
I wanted to stay up to date I thought and Cloud was the way to go.
Tried to use it but wow, what a change.
So yes, there are plenty of tutorials but you have to know before hand where they are going before you understand the significant difference in the two.
I love Adobe products but for the first time in over 15 years of Photoshop, they screwed this up.
Thanks for the response.

I apologize for posting this here but the official site, feedback.photoshop.com, is not functioning properly.
Adobe solicited the feedback.
Why post LR feedback on a Photoshop page? I do not know but it seems Adobe is falling down a little.
Anyway, here is the feedback I tried to post:
Adobe solicited feedback so here it is.
It is very important to consider the type of customer.
I am at home 99% of the time and do not interact with others on a daily basis.
I subscribe to the PS and LR.
Without any notice, two versions of LR showed up on desktop app.
One labeled as Cloud based and the other desktop based.
You want to be up to date so, of course, I choose Cloud version.
I plug in my SD camera card and find a way to copy them.
Very clunky btw.
Not knowing this is a thin, first version, I wonder where all the tools and features have gone.
I tried to move files around the way I always did and boy is this clunky.
I then tried to highlight the three bracketed photos and load them into Photomatix for HDR processing.
No, cannot find a way to export them.
Now I am starting to get bothered.
I absolutely love Adobe products but geez, I just could not figure out why they would do this.
That is when I finally started searching and found out what the heck they did.
So I load up Classic.
Well, my files that were loaded in CC are in the cloud.
Should be a simple thing to Import them right?
Nope.
I had to reload or copy them from the SD camera card.
So all this took a few hours to figure out.
Here is my opinion of the LR cloud.
Remember, the cloud is a fancy name for remote storage.
You can keep all your files in the so-called cloud before CC came out.
Is it a little easier to navigate with CC? Yes.
As far as using the new software, it is simply, and only, a reformatted version of LR.
Nothing new, yet, just a different layout.
So where did Adobe blow it?
The intro was terrible.
