What's the black solid that's above it?

The black solid is the black bars or the black at the top and bottom.

Ah...I asked because I noticed that the "glowing" on the white values at lower left. I thought maybe the solid was an adjustment layer that was applying a glow to the white values. I figured since that png also has white values they were triggering the glow. I'm still wondering if there's something going on that's causing the white values to glow.

The glowing is from the saber plugin

And what happens when disable the saber plugin? Does the tint go away?

Well the saber is already on it because i made that first then rendered it as a png sequence then the the finished png then put it over my clip that you see now.

Actually i thought you were talking about something else, but the glowing at the bottom left is already part of the clip. There is no saber on it.

So in other words, you bought a third-party plugin to use in AE, and you didn't think about the proper way to use it.
What do you think you should do?

As per the previous poster - without knowing more about what you actually do and what that ominous black solid on top is for, it's unlikely anyone can tell you much.

does the way i rendered it effect it?

The first thing you need to find out is if the haze is rendered into the png sequence itself.
If it is then you need to figure what happened and re-render.
If the problem is not rendered into the png sequence itself then you
need to go through all the other layers and effects, one at a time & toggle them off and on to
isolate which layer is causing the problem.
Once you know the layer that's causing it then you can find out what's happening.
This is how you trouble shoot problems.
Learn it, live it.
