Retrieving annotations

I checked out a textbook and made a bunch of annotations, highlights. My computer was acting up, so I had to clear the memory and reinstall Digital Editions. I have the saved ANNOTE file for the textbook which I'm guessing has all my info. I've re-checked out this textbook, and I'm wondering if there's a way to add those annotations using that ANNOTE file.

Adobe: PLEASE provide a solution to this problem. I can tell by looking at these support forums that many people are struggling with this problem. We spend Hours reading and annotating texts that use your DRM scheme. We need a way to import these annotations when we move the file. This should be a relatively simple solution. Please Help Us!
