Acrobat Features

I have an idea for an Acrobat feature if it does not exist already?  Is there a feature in Acrobat that you can use to download a new version of a document from within the old version of that document?  Too open up the old version of the PDF, click a button and automatically download/save the old version as the new version?  I download the same publications from the IRS each year, and I would like to automate this process.

The creator of a document could put in links to download the old files.
