we have Lightroom 3 and were involved in professional photography for several yaers.  We moved out of state and after about 18 monthsoff we began using again.  We have a Mac PC and had not had an issues with downloading the pics off the canon 7D to Lightroom.  We have Lightroom classic 3.  We noticed that the program no longer recognizes the camera to allow an upload.  We can upload them iphoto but only in jpeg format before moving to photoshop.  We tried different cables but that doesn’t seem to be the problem especially since they upload to iPhoto.  Any suggestions.  Is the LR3 old enough that it is no longer talking to the camera??

RAW from 7D should be supported with LR3, since 2.6 actually.

To support RAW from the 7D Mk2 you need at least LR 5.7: Cameras supported by Camera Raw
