PS CC 2018 update (24th jan) fullscreen with tabs issue?

Ever since the update this morning going into fullscreen with tabs ends up being a quarter of my second screen size (no problem if I run on only one screen). The normal grey background with image 1/4 and then 3/4 black screen, tabs are still in correct size. If I hit 'tab' & toggle the tabs away it jumps to the correct size and stays correct. Tried a work around with tech help but that included unchecking 'use graphics processor' which ideally I don't want to do. Anyone else that has this? Any solution that won't slow down my workflow apart from having to tab everything every time?

Have never run into this problem before. Running High Sierra on a 2017 macbook pro 15 and Eizo CG as sec. screen.
