I use Canon cameras and windows 10 CS6 ACR 9.1.1 has no problem finding my lens. Adobe has installed many lens profiles. Check to see if there are profiles installed for you cameras and lenses. What OS do you use. I show the Windows 10 location Adobe uses here.

If in Camera Raw in the Lens Correction tab you select Canon where it says Make, does the right lens profile get selected?

On the mac side the lens profiles/camera profiles are located at
/Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw
If you don't see anything there, you can install the 10.1 adobe dng converter, which installs the same profiles as camera does.

I tried that and I didn't find Canon. Why do you think Canons profiles are gone? I did update photoshop cs6 to 9.1.1

Your looking in Mac HD Library and not your User Library?
From your last screenshot, it seems all the profiles are missing, not just the Canon ones.
You can try Installing the 10.1 adobe dng converter, which installs the same profiles as camera does and see if you canon profiles come back.

Mac library. I installed the dng converter but I'm not sure how to use it. are there any videos out there?

No you don't have to use the dng converter, it's just a way of installing the needed profiles for camera raw.
Did you check camera raw in photoshop cs6 and see the profiles are back?
